...Bridge isn't here yet because he's in class. Maybe someone else is around, though.

Synthesized coffee in hand, Bridge settles in behind the desk.

He's flipping through random back-issues of "Ultimate Upgrade" from 2006. Never mind that to him, these are like fifteen years out-of-date. It's interesting.

Bridge has cookies. Yes, he's eating them *before* lunch. Shh. They're chocolate chip, okay?

Katara stopped by the library before Ethics to visit Bridge. She waved at him and looked mildly freaked out at the amount of papers she held in her hands.

"Hey Katara!" Bridge waves cheerfully, holding out a cookie. "Cookie?"

"Chocolate?" She asked hopefully. "And what's incense?"

"Of course chocolate," Bridge says, handing Katara the cookie. "And incense is uh, stuff that's burned by some people because it smells good but apparently has some protective qualities too."

"Oooh, thank you," she said. "Eww, that stuff they burn in Fire temples. Dr. Orpheus is making me write a paper on it because I missed last week's class."

"Well, at least you won't end up smelling like it for days afterward," Bridge points out. "Like everyone in class did."

"...I have to make some too," she said, making a face. "Why do I guess that's where the smell comes from?"

"Oh," Bridge says, wrinkling his nose. "Yeah, that'd be it."

Lunch time, yay! Library's closed unless you work here, though.

Bridge spends fifth period processing returns.

And then sixth period reshelving said returns.

Luke walked into the library and gave Bridge a small smile.

"Where do you keep the books on sea lions?" he asked.

"Hey, dude," Bridge says with a tentative wave. "Uh, sea life's over here, and sea mammals... here," he walks over to a shelf.

"I don't suppose there's anything on their aerodynamic capabilities, huh?" Luke asked, following along. "I want to be prepared the next time one comes flying into my room."

"...there are *flying* sea lions?" Bridge boggles a bit. "I mean, I've heard of flying *fish*, but that's..."

"Not flying," Luke said, "more like, um, flung. Yesterday was strange."

"No kidding," Bridge snorts. "It didn't hit you or anything, did it? Cause I'd imagine that'd hurt. And who throws sea lions, anyway?"

"Cranky merpeople, apparently," Luke said, rolling his eyes. "I don't know. I figured it couldn't hurt to read up on them."

Hanging around Rory had rubbed off on him.

"Research is always a good idea," Bridge agrees with a smile. "Knowledge can be a formidable weapon."
