It celebrates the rededication of the Temple after it was desecrated. There's this whole thing with how there was only enough oil for the candles in the Temple to burn for one day, but somehow it lasted for eight. A dreidel's got four sides, each with a different letter painted on it: Nun, Gimmel, Heh and Shin. Which stands for "Nes Gadol Haya Sham- A great miracle happened there". So, uh, you spin the top, and depending on what letter it lands on, you get all of the money in the pot, or half of it, or you have to put some in." He shrugs. "Told you it was long winded."
"You weren't wrong," Luke murmured under his breath, then flashed Bridge a polite smile. "So there's a song for spinning the top thing and my father sang it with a banthabell, then?"
