Home Ec [first period, Tuesday]

Today, it wasn't Emma Frost standing at the front of the room - it was a different, much more clothed and tired-looking blonde.

"Um, hi," she said with a nervous little wave. "My name's Hannelore Ellicott-Chatham. You can just call me Hannelore. Ms. Frost isn't feeling too swift, so she handwavey asked me to sub for her. Um. I've never done this before, so here's hoping I don't suck too badly."

"So, um," she continued, "she just left us a couple notes. We're going over cleaning and tidying and vacuuming and...." Hannelore gave a happy little sigh. "Okay, this is something I'm really good at. We're going to clean the classroom. There are vacuum cleaners, and just a few cleaning products in the back."

Hannelore pointed, where there was a plethora of vacuums, mops, Swiffers, sponges, and a seemingly-endless supply of cleaning fluids. Best not to ask how many of those came from Hannelore's apartment.

"All right, I brought you guys some stuff," she said, pulling out a huge box of HazMat suits and gasmasks. "I didn't bring all my supplies, but I don't want you guys to get sick!"

Not that they'd actually become ill cleaning the classroom.

"You can pick what you want to do. Oh, and this is Winslow," Hannelore said, pointing to an oversized iPod sitting on the desk. Winslow waved. "He's here to help me."

Hannelore kind of waved at the group. "Okay. Go. I'll be around and stuff if you need me." She then dug a set of suction cups out of her bag, strapped a belt equipped with several cleaning products around her waist, and climbed onto a table. Then with a little hop, she was on the ceiling, where she began to scrub.

[Wait for OCD, please]

Jim Halpert

His name started slightly to the left of everyone else's name thus slightly messing up the neat collapsing thread. He wondered if she would white out part of his name or something to make the line of names straight.

Aeryn's more staring at the giant iPod and being glad that Artoo and/or Bertram aren't here.

And wondering if her iPod will grow to that size.

Annette also stared at the giant ipod, and she wondered just how loud it could get.

Setsuna's actually attempting to take notes. That are neat and organized, but it wasn't working very well.

Jim was disappointed that he wasn't going to be moderately traumatized by the lesson this week.

Then Hannelore hopped onto the ceiling.

That was close enough.

Dawn grabbed a mop and a bucket and poured in some floor cleaner, then a bottle of holy water from her bag, figuring that it couldn't hurt. She climbed on top of one of the desks and took a seat, waiting for everyone to finish stirring up dust and mess, so she could get it all at once.

Or possibly she was just being lazy.

Re: Clean something! [03/06]

Demyx looked apprehensively at the cleaning things. "I remember those," he said. "I have bad memories of those, actually." He was thinking back to the glitter explosion in his room a while back.

"Can I just do this?" The blond gestured, and water overflowed over one of the work stations like some kind of demented fountain.

Annette put on a green Hazmat suit and gasmask. (http://www.emergency.unsw.edu.au/hazmat.jpg) You could never be too sure or too safe. Problem was she didn't have the first clue about cleaning.

Raising her brows a little, she glanced over the cleaning supplies and equipment and oooh'ed over some sort of floor cleaning machine. (http://www.discount-carpet-cleaning-machines.com/images/floor_buffer.jpg) Assuming that it would be a piece of cake to use, she tilted it back on it's wheels and rolled it out to the middle of the floor. After unwinding the cord, she plugged it in and walked back to it, taking hold of the left handle, she flipped the switch and turned it on and immediately had to take hold of the right handle.

Unfortunately, the thing had a life of it's own and it started to go wherever it wanted, pretty much dragging a wide-eyed, vibrating like heck, Annette behind it who desperately kept trying to steer it. People really needed to get the crap out of the way! The damn thing was broken!

Layla was attempting to sweep the floor with the Swiffer. She might have been kicking up more dirt and dust than she was catching though.

Re: Clean something! [03/06]

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-03-06 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh, look. Setsuna could sweep pretty well. She'd won battles with just a broom before; so conquering a floor wouldn't be difficult at all.

And wasn't using minor Shinmei Ryuu wind techniques channeled through the broom to help push stuff along at all. Really.

Stark eyed the gasmasks and HazMat suits warily, wondering why exactly anyone would think those were necessary just for cleaning. The he shrugged, hoped nobody ended up dead of cleaning, and picked up a sponge and went after possibly imaginary dirt on a desk.

The smell of that much cleaning solution was more than a little acrid and Alec thought it was more than a little silly. He eyed the cleaning products and minutes later was balancing an open bottle of pinesol on the top of the handle of his mop.
