Isabel was at the library early. Hopefully there was information somewhere that would help them get Lucas and Katara back.

Sipping her coughing, Isabel searched the card catalogue for any books that might be relevant.

Rikku stopped in before her morning class - the one Lucas was supposed to TA, she was pretty sure. Gulp. She would probably be coming back right afterwards, too.

She walked up to the other girl nervously. "Um, do you know where the books on - quantum are?"

"Let me look," Isabel said, clicking on the search bar. "What type specifically? Mechanics? Physics?"

"I don't know." Rikku tried to remember something of the books Lucas had been reading. "I think mechanics. Stuff about temporals. And portals. And time gaps."

She tried to look nonchalant. She probably failed.

Sokka picked a large table over near the wall to be the command-and-control center.

Any books that people found, or notes that people took, went on the table. He also taped a large sheet of paper to the wall and wrote "WHAT WE NO SO FAR" on it in big letters.

"We need another sign. 'What We Need.'"

Sokka set to work, and shortly "WHAT WE NEED" was also taped to the wall.

He'd already filled in the first entry on it: "KATARA AND LUCAS BACK"

Valentine walked into the library, and walked over to the desk, poking at the stacks of books.
"What are these all about? Did you kill them?"



{ooc: I totally missed the big to-do yesterday. Apparently, I fail at keeping up with plot. If someone could explain to Valentine about the portal, I'd be ever so appreciative, thanks!}

Will headed back to the library before her classes to return the books she'd taken out on Monday and since the mun had missed out on Tuesday's plot event due to RL heaviness. She was surprised to see so many people in here again.

"Wow, the library's a popular place this week."

Fandom, A History is definitely interesting. Unfortunately Isabel keeps getting distracted by stories of all the other weirdness that's gone on on the island.

Zack looked up from the book he was reading. "According to this the portal appeared February 22, 1816."

He was tempted to declare himself king of the library, but that could wait until it panned out or not.

"February ... wait a second." Rikku looked up sharply. "I just saw that date, hang on."

She flipped backwards quickly and skimmed, calling out the relevant bits as she saw them. "Ummmmm early in 1816 blah blah blah 'defenses thoroughly tested when an invasion occured on the 22nd of February.' Invasion invasion invasion, scary, bad stuff, okay, hang on, 'partially due to a strange group of outsiders, whose sudden arrival turned the tide of the battle. It is not known whether the two groups were connected, as the group disappeared shortly after the battle concluded.'"

She looked up, eyes wide. "Whoa. You think it's connected?"

Seventh Period - 2/21
