Rory wandered in earlier than usual in spite of what time this post is actually going up, and curled up at the desk with a notebook full of handwritten, highlighted notes as well as her laptop.

"It doesn't sound logical," Rory says, making a face. "How would you fly something like that?"

"I think it would have to depend on what it was used for. A ship built like that wouldn't be any good fighting. It's probably just a passenger ship of some sort. But if they have the technology to make something like that fly, they probably don't need to come here for vacation."

"See, they supposedly come here to experiment on people they find in the midwest and mess up their crops."

"Their... crops?" she asks. "I don't know, maybe if they were on some sort of mission to keep other species from being able to find food sources here, but that doesn't make sense."

"They make designs in corn fields," Rory says solemnly. "I want to see you and Isabel do this now."

"It could be fun and pointless and I suspect it's a drunken sort of thing to do," Rory admits.

"I've seen Isabel drunk. She hugs. I don't think this is going to happen," she says.

"Um, I'm not sure that's really necessary," she says quickly.

"It's fun," she repeats. "Like coffee but more manic."

"Coffee's never had that sort of effect on me," Aeryn says. "It's good for a start, but I don't think I've ever been hyper."

"No, it's just what happens after drinking it for the last thirteen years or so."
