"Hey, Bridge," she said. She looked a tiny bit hopeful. "Got any homework that needs doing?"

"Just my own," Bridge admits, "which I should probably do myself or it defeats the purpose but, uh..." he flails a bit, "you could help me copy my notes out so they're not all "ack must write down every word the teacher says as quickly as possible" messy?"

Willow looked a bit more hopeful. "Really? You won't mind?"

"Of course not! I understand needing to keep busy." Bridge says. "Prophecy or Hunting?" he asks, deliberately leaving out Criminal Justice because he thought that witchhunting probably wasn't something Willow would want to read about.

"Prophecy, please," Willow said. "I'm not in the mood for anything involving weapons right now."

"Absolutely," Bridge says, handing over the requested notes. "Wanna talk about it?" he asks. "I mean, it's okay if you don't but sometimes it helps and you've listened to my problems a lot, so..." he trails off, uncertain.

"Yesterday? In Fencing Club? I offered to make a soundproof barrier so the guns wouldn't disturb us and turns out it was a stupid idea I never should've mentioned," Willow said.

Bridge raises an eyebrow, and pointedly looks out a window as if he's checking for something.

Willow looked too. Not that she knew what she was looking for. "What?"

"You said you had a stupid idea. I'm checking for flying pigs, because if that's the case then they should be showing up right about now."

"Would I get flying pigs?" Willow asked. "Maybe flying cows. More Kosher."

"Well, there's none of those either," Bridge says. "In fact, no flying animals in sight, except birds, which we should only worry about if they *don't* fly. Except chickens and ostriches and penguins, who normally don't. So clearly, it must not have been a stupid idea."

"It got shot down though," Willow said. "No pun intended."

"My teammates back home have this bad habit of dismissing *my* ideas." Bridge says with a shrug. "And then later it turns out I was right all along."

"Do you think it'd be stupid if the sound barrier could block bullets too?" Willow asked. "I'm not saying any of the gun club fans are going on a shooting spree or anything, but as long as you're making a barrier why not add protection for more than sound, I figured."

"No," Bridge shakes his head. "That makes sense to me."

"See, I thought so too," Willow said. "But apparently not."

"Guys can be really dumb sometimes," Bridge says. "I should know, being one and all."

"Maybe I just don't know enough about guns," Willow said. "Or their ranges."

"Which isn't neccessarily a bad thing." Bridge points out.

"Sometimes they come in handy," Willow said. "Depends on the type."

"Oh, I'm not arguing *that*," Bridge says. "I've had firearms training since I began at the Academy. But I'd say it's a generally a good thing if guns aren't something that are an everyday concern for you."

"True," Willow agreed. "I mean I know there's the whole issue where it's how you use something that makes it good or evil, but seems to me guns of the bullet-producing type are mostly in the hurty range. It's not like apples where either they're yummy if you eat them or really sting if someone throws them at you hard."

"Well, unless you're from Bromak, in which case metal makes a pretty good snack," Bridge says with a nod.

"Wouldn't you worry about the gun accidentally going off when you chew?"
