Isabel sat at the desk and reviewed all the paperwork while she sipped her mocha.

"Good morning, Isabel," Yomiko said as she entered the library. "Excited about your first day?"

"I am yes," she smiled. "I think it's going to be fun."

Isabel's off in bio right now. Perhaps one of the other aids can help?

She's back and is searching the card catalog for information about cats.

Evie came in to look at maps, and possibly, historical information about the Island before todays' Archaeology Club.

"Hi Evie!" Isabel waved. "How are you?"

Evie's smiled and headed over to the counter. "Hello, Isabel. Are you an aide here now? I was looking for maps of the Island."

"I am," she grinned. "Today is my first day. Hopefully I won't mess up too badly."

"Oh, I'm sure you shan't," Evie assured her. "At least, not unless you start a small fire or possibly lose a priceless manuscript or-- ahem. Anyway." Evie looked abashed. "Maps?"

"I think I'll be sticking to the desk mostly," Isabel laughed. "Just to avoid all that." She quickly checked for where maps would be located and then led Evie over to the appropriate area and pulled down the map. "Here you go. Are you looking for anything in particular?"

"An acceptable place for an archaeological dig. We'll probably need to get permits from the Town Hall, but I should like to have an idea of what to ask them for, and where to search for something to dig up." Evie gave a gleeful little smile. "Pending Dr. Jackson's approval, of course."

"Must be something in the air," Jack said as he saw what Izzy was reading. "I bought Cedric an Idiot's Guide to US History yesterday. Oh, and I brought you this," he placed a mocha with whip cream on the desk, "and this," and next to it appeared a blueberry muffin. "I thought you might be hungry."

[ooc: heading to work now, back on in a bit]

"You are truly a wonderful man," Isabel gleed, pouncing on the mocha. "I might have to ditch my plans to run away to Mexico with Cedric and go with you instead." She took a sip and sighed. "Why did you get that for Cedric?"

"I know," he said smugly, grinning at her reaction. "And Mexico awaits us, just say the word and we're gone." Jack jumped up to sit on the counter and leaned back on her hands. "Because the tome he found here looked like it would bore even Rory to death. The book I got him had cartoons."

"Oh now I'm going to have to make a decision between the two of you? Well I suppose a coin toss would be fair," Isabel chuckled. "Cartoons? I'm afraid. I hope he's not getting tested on that."

"Take us both," Jack offered. "Much simpler. And more fun." He patted her hand, kicked off his shoes, and pulled his legs up to sit cross-legged on the desk. "The book's not for class. Cedric said he wanted to learn more about the history of the US, seeing as he was going to be here for awhile. Are you enjoying your first day in the library?"

"Make yourself comfortable why don't you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "If I'm taking the both of you then I'm saying the hell with it and bringing Greg along to. Me and my harem, life would good." Sobering, Isabel leaned against the counter and rested her chin in her hand. "He still hasn't heard anything? I was a talking to Hermione a week or so ago, I was tempted to ask her how she keeps in contact."
