Ethics (September 14, 6th period)
If the classroom looked a bit like a discount Swedish furniture store had exploded inside of it, well...at least the projectiles were now easily replaceable.
Which might be a good thing.
Precisely on time, Darth Vader swept into the room and slammed the door firmly behind him.
"Today we talk about lying," he said, his masked face scanning the faces in front of him as he prowled around the classroom.
"Everyone lies," he stated flatly. "To hide things, to manipulate others, to avoid...unpleasantness." There was a definite hint of scorn in his voice at that last example. "In class today, you are required to pair up and only tell the truth." His cape whirled behind him. "And I can tell if you are not. Such disobedience will result in detention."
He paused for a moment. "And I don't believe in that axiom where if you cannot say something nice, you don't say anything at all. I do not require you to be nice. I require you to be honest."
He crossed his arms over his chest. "Name. Place of birth. Classes you are taking," he barked out. "Proceed from there."

Re: Class exercise!
although surprise! Angel struck first with a sword. There isn't but there probably should be.""But in the interest of actually following along with what we're supposed to be doing class and avoiding detention. I guess we should get back to questions. What do you plan on doing when you leave here?"

Re: Class exercise!
She looked down, searching for answers on the blank notebook page in front of her. "Honestly? I'm not sure. The first thing is to survive. Remember, we've already died once. After that? I think I'd want to come home if I could. I don't remember Antar, so to me, home is here. Maybe then I'll finally get a chance for something normal."
Re: Class exercise!
Sam leaned forward and whispered, "Death's not the worst thing that can happen, and goodness knows it's not always final. There are ways, if you're lucky." She sat up straighter, "Okay, so, normal girl. You've liberated a planet and come back to your home. What do you do?"
Re: Class exercise!
"As for death, yeah, I know. I suppose they can do whatever it was they did the first time to make me," Isabel said wryly. "Although this time we can avoid the crash and if I'm making requests, I'd like to try life a redhead the next time around."
She snickered, "I suppose you're looking for a better answer then 'I'm going to Disney World'?"
Re: Class exercise!
"A redhead? Really?" Sam couldn't help wondering how she'd look as a redhead. Wow, that was strange. Blonde she'd stay, thanks. She grinned, "And Disney World's completely doable. I don't think I've been there before."
Re: Class exercise!
Isabel shrugged, "It's just a whim I guess. I'd dye it to see how it would look one day, but with my skin tone I doubt it would work. Maybe I'd have to check the DNA catalog if they had one. You know, from all the people they abducted over the years." She stopped, not certain if Sam realized she was kidding. "I am just kidding you know."
"We went to Disneyland a few years ago. But from what I've heard it's not the same."
Re: Class exercise!
"Hey, speaking as a technical abductee? You could end up close to the same color blonde," she laughed, pointing to her own head. "And it could be fun to go. We'll make plans to go, as soon as the planet's safe."
Re: Class exercise!
"For the time being I'll stay blonde. Greg likes it." Yes, she did blush. "And celebratory trip to Disney sounds like a great idea."
