If the classroom looked a bit like a discount Swedish furniture store had exploded inside of it, well...at least the projectiles were now easily replaceable.

Which might be a good thing.

Precisely on time, Darth Vader swept into the room and slammed the door firmly behind him.

"Today we talk about lying," he said, his masked face scanning the faces in front of him as he prowled around the classroom.

"Everyone lies," he stated flatly. "To hide things, to manipulate others, to avoid...unpleasantness." There was a definite hint of scorn in his voice at that last example. "In class today, you are required to pair up and only tell the truth." His cape whirled behind him. "And I can tell if you are not. Such disobedience will result in detention."

He paused for a moment. "And I don't believe in that axiom where if you cannot say something nice, you don't say anything at all. I do not require you to be nice. I require you to be honest."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "Name. Place of birth. Classes you are taking," he barked out. "Proceed from there."

"You've said that a few times," Isabel said. "But maybe you need to look at this as a second chance in more ways then one." Unforutnately Isabel did have to agree with her as far as Sam's future with Jack went. Unless she got a job with the Time Agency it was doubtful that she'd ever see him again.

"You're an optimist," Sam smiled at her, "and I'll give it my best shot." She wasn't expecting forever from Jack, but hopefully their relationship wouldn't end because he died. That was enough.

"I guess I am," she said, surprised. "Which is odd, because usually I'm pretty pragmatic. But I guess I just like to see my friends happy."

Sam smiled wider, almost goofily, especially for Sam. "Well, you can cross me off your worry list. And hopefully Jack and Cedric."

"Oh I've got all three of you crossed off," Isabel grinned. "Jack seems to be deliriously happy, especially now that he knows what happened while he was gone. And Cedric seemed cheerful when I dragged him to get his haircut last week."

"You dragged Cedric off to get a haircut?" Sam laughed.

"He looked like a sheepdog!"

Sam blew her bangs out of her eyes. "Yeah, I know how that goes."

"I could introduce you to Maurice if you'd like," Isabel offered.

"Is he related to Sven?" Sam asked hopefully.

"Only in the sense that they're both from Europe," she shrugged. "Although Maurice's accent could be a total fake and he could be from Topeka for all I know. But he can do magic with hair. He transformed Cedric from a sheepdog to a guy with stylishly shaggy hair."

"I could really use a haircut," Sam mused. "Last time it was done, I did it, and that was last September."

"We could head down to Theodoric's one day if you want. See Maurice, then visit Sven," Isabel grinned. "Just don't mention Sven to Greg. I don't want him to be jealous."

"Sounds fantastic. And I won't tell Greg if you don't tell Jack?" Sam promised. "Otherwise we'll never get him out of there."

Isabel started to laugh out loud but quickly clamped a hand over her mouth in order to not attract attention to them. "Oh no, Sven is definitely our little secret."

"Excellent. My Wednesdays and Fridays are free, or there are the weekends," Sam said, trying to remember her schedule.

"My Fridays are free to," she grinned. "But how about a Saturday instead? This way we can drag Parker along if she's free. I know this Saturday is out, but how about next week?"

"Why is this Saturday out?" Sam asked, "But yeah, next week sounds good."

"Jack's on a mission to do something for Cedric's room since Dean moved out," Isabel explained. "Parker's taking him, me and you, if you're interested since he said he was going to ask you, over to the mainland Saturday morning."

"Yeah, I wasn't doing anything anyway," Sam said, amused by the idea of Jack decorating Cedric's room. "Any idea where we're going?"

"I haven't a clue but I figured it would be better then hibernating in my room."

"Good point."

"So you're going to go I hope? Jack's buying the coffee."

"With an offer like that?" Sam snickered, "I can't possibly turn it down."
