Detention, The Danger Shop, 09.08.06

When the students walked into the shop, they would see The Tick standing at a podium that probably looked vaguely futuristic back in the mid-1990's: a rounded white plastic frame and clear plexiglass. There were lights and smoke in the background. Behind Tick was a large sign with the following names listed:

When everyone was in the shop, the Tick pushed a button on the Danger Shop remote and spotlights started swinging around.

"Hello, detentioned students! I am The Tick, and I'm not only your Dean of Students, but today I am also your host for Detention Gladiators!" Tick stayed silent as a vaguely patriotic-sounding theme song played for thirty seconds.

"Today you'll be competing in four challenges that will test your mind, body, heart, and ability to think like a crazy person! Hopefully by the end of our time together you'll have learned your lesson - or in Naomi's case set a positive example since she did nothing wrong - and will be ready to move on to the next phase of your lives, without rule breaking!"

"And remember, the Shop is set up with extensive safety protocols! You're completely safe! Explosions won't be real, brutes won't actually hit hard, and the sheer power of the criminal mind won't overwhelm you!"

"SPOOOON!"

[OOC: You do not need to know who any of the hologram NPCs are, but you might enjoy it more if you do. Here's some info on them. This should be crack crack crack and more crack, for the record. Detention will run from approximately 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST, but you're free to go when you've completed all of the tasks. If it takes longer, I'm fine playing longer if you are. :)

Activity 4: A Test of the Sanity

The scene has changed to an obstacle course with an excessive number of walls.

"In that obstacle course, you have ten bombs to find and disarm. You can disarm them easily by removing them from the surface they're stuck to and pushing that button on the front. But be warned! The villain who planted those bombs in the first place will be trying to plant more! You may have to apprehend him somehow! He's no physical threat, but he is really weird, so be wary of him."

[OOC: Mod the placement of the bombs as you will. They'll mostly be right on the wall at eye level. Some will be on the ground, or the ceiling. Any on the ceiling will be above some movable obstacles so you can get up there.

The villain will just run around trying to place more bombs. Stop him however you see fit, either by talking or hitting.]

Seely started scanning the course for bombs. Aha! He reached down to pick the bomb up and disarm it.

From around the corner, a hunched-over, crazy-looking man with disproportionally thin legs walked over. "... and so he says to me he says, 'Do you want to go to a school?' and I say, 'NO, BABY, SCHOOL'S FOR FISH WITH NIGHTLIGHTS!' and he says 'There's students to blow up,' and I say 'Then I'm IN BABY! BOOM, BABY, BOOM!' Hahahahahahaha."

He doesn't look like he poses any actual threat, and he clearly hasn't noticed Seely yet.

After adding a second disarmed bomb to the first, Seely started creeping up behind the man, still keeping an eye out for more bombs.

JOhn started off, looking for cheese bombs. Oh, look! There's one! He removes it and pushes the button.

Naomi searched for any bombs that she could find, she found one and moved to disarm it.

The Evil Midnight Bomber walked out from around a corner, muttering to himself. "And so I says, 'I don't care what the turkey has to say about it, when a turkey needs to go boom, A TURKEY NEEDS TO GO BOOM, BABY, BOOM!"

He placed another bomb on the wall and nodded to Naomi.

Naomi was quick to disarm the bomb, as she did so she wondered how she was going to get through this activity.

"All right boys! Let's find us some boobies."

"You mean booby traps."

"I know what I'm saying."

"Shouldn't we be looking for bombs?"

"Sure, if you want to be a party pooper."

"Hey I found one!"

"That's a juice box."

"It could be a bomb."

"Yeah. An apple juice bomb."

"Guys? Seriously. Find the bombs and let's get out of here."

The Evil Midnight Bomber came around the corner and started placing bombs on all the new walls. The walls wearing clothes. He didn't think that was strange. "So he says, 'I'm sorry sir, but I can't renew your driver's license,' and I say, 'Why not, baby?' and he says, 'You just wrote 'BOOM' on the application and handed it over, and I say 'BOOM, BABY! BOOM!' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

The two Jamies who just had bomb attached to them gave each other weird looks and started to disarm them.

A couple of other Jamies started grabbing other bombs left behind by the mad bomber.

And the rest just tried to monkey pile on top of the Mad bomber.

The Evil Midnight Bomber came up from behind Peter and placed a new armed bomb right above Peter's head. "So he says, he says, 'Hey, Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight, where'd you get that name?' and I say 'I got it from being an EVIL MIDNIGHT BOMBER WHAT BOMBS AT MIDNIGHT, BABY, YEAH!' and he said, 'I'm down with that,' BOOM, BABY, BOOM! Hahahahahaha. Excuse me."

"Isn't this kind of dangerous?!" The twins start running around looking for bombs, noticing one against the back wall.

"The bombs aren't real," The Tick called out from where he was standing.

The Evil Midnight Bomber was placing bombs in a smiley face pattern on a wall. "So she says, 'That's not Art,' and I say, 'Who are you to say what Art is, baby,' and she says, 'I think I'd recognize my own husband,' and I said, 'NOT IF HE'S BLOWN UP INTO LITTLE PIECES, BOOM, BABY, BOOM!' and then she called me a psycho and called the cops."

Sakurazaki pondered this one before pursuing it. If the enemy were still trying to plant more, she'd have to move quick, she'd have to move fast, she'd have to move effenciently.

Obstacles were no matter. Sakurazaki moved swiftly, fluidly from one place to another, keeping her eyes open for the bombs. When she found one, she was quick to extricate them from their spot, disarm, and dispose. She wasn't going to let the villian have a chance to replace them if she could help it.

The Evil Midnight Bomber wandered around, throwing some bombs at the wall with arcing tosses. "So he says, 'Woof!' and I say, 'Woof!' back because I COULD SPEAK HIS LANGUAGE, BABY, and he says 'Woof! Woof!' and I say I say, 'I HEAR YOU BROTHER! BOOM, BABY!'"

Ranma runs fast. And he can get around the mze pretty quickly. He would be doing this faster but suddenly he finds himself thinking more about how the Tick has such a small head and such a large body than the task at hand. He does get to the first bomb though, and picks it up, disarming it.

The Tick had a large head, it was just mostly chin. :)

The Evil Midnight Bomber was laying back, using his sack of bombs as a pillow. "And so she says, 'Zzzzzzzzzz,' and I say, 'Are you sleeping?' and she says 'Zzzzzzzzzzzzz,' so I say 'ARE YOU SLEEPING?' and she says 'Zzzzzzzzzzzzz,' so I went out AND PAINTED THE TOWN BOOM! Hahahahahaha." The Evil Midnight Bomber placed a bomb next to him and activated it. "WITH A BOOM BRUSH, YEAH!"

Bombs? That shouldn't be too hard. River looked for bombs and spotted one. She observed it for a few seconds before moving in to disarm it.

The Evil Midnight Bomber strolled around and threw a bomb to the ceiling, where it stuck.

"And so he says, he says, 'Hey, Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight, can I call you 'Bomber'?' and I say, 'NO, BABY, it's too short!' and he says, 'Oh, okay, I just thought I'd check,' and I say, 'No, I get that, BOOM I GET THE BOOM!' Hahahahaha"

Teddy sighed, he was no good at search and disarm. He was more of a search and smash stuff kind of guy.

He walked forward but stopped short, noticing somethin ahead.

There was a bomb right in front of him.

He squinted, it couldn't be that easy. He reached down and disarmed it. Okay, maybe it could be easy then.

He set of at a faster pace looking for the rest of the bombs.

The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight was signing his name on the wall using bombs. He had a very long name, though, so it was taking a while.

"So I says, 'DO I WANT TO BUY THIN MINTS? YEAH I WANT TO BUY THIN MINTS! THEY GO BOOM REALLY GOOD!' and she says, 'You're weird, mister,' and I say, 'Yeah, but I JUST BOUGHT COOKIES FROM YOU!' Hahahahahaha."
