Sexual Education [08/03] - Thursday Afternoon

"It's too hot to do anything," Becky whined when her class came out to meet that day. They might have noticed she was dressed differently than usual - her leathers had been replaced by a miniskirt and halter top, though her jewelry was still there, and her hair was up for a change. "So instead, boys and girls, we're going to do a Q&A. Ask me anything you'd like as long as it somehow relates to the class, and I'll answer it as best I can, 'kay?"

[Apologies for the lame class, but seriously, ask her whatever you'd like. She'll be honest. I just have a headache and lack inspiration today. :) SP from me until about 2 or 3 EDT]

"So we just have to work hard to change her back before that happens. Have you checked the library yet?" Blair smiled a little. "I don't know about a demon and a mermaid, but I'm pretty sure you and Phoebe can make it work no matter what."

"But how can we...?" He made a crude hand gesture.

Blair blushed and shook his head. "I'm sure you're distraught and all, man. But it's not as if thats the only part of being in a relationship."

Bel chuckled. "Gotcha," he said, but his heart wasn't really in it. He sighed again. "I'll love her no matter what she looks like," he said. "But if she doesn't love me, it's gonna hurt like hell."

Blair shrugged, he didn't feel bad about blushing today. "Just remember that it's not really her. It's like she got bit by a gremlin or something, you can't hold what she does against her, or believe that it's true. No matter what she does as a mermaid, Phoebe loves you."

"It's my fault this happened to her," Bel said. "I gotta find a way to undo it."

"You turned her into a mermaid? What on earth for?"

Bel shook his head. "She cast a spell to try to open my mind since I was hiding things from her, and it backfired because it was personal gain. Instead of opening my mind it closed her heart."

"Whoa." Blair sat back. "Could you fix the spell if you opened your mind to her, like the spell intended?"

"I don't know," Bel said. "But if I did that, she might hate me."

"If she stays a mermaid forever than it doesn't matter, does it." Blair said dryly. "It can't be all that bad, Bel."

"It's up there," Bel said quietly.

Scooting his chair closer, Blair leaned in. "Can you talk about it at all? Maybe you've blown it up in your mind and you need an outside perspective."

Bel chuckled softly. "I love her. There's no question about that. But I...um...have feelings for someone else, too."

"I know you love her, man." Blair nodded. "So these other feelings are just lust."

"You so sure about that?" Bel asked. "Don't you think you can love more than one person?"

"You can love plenty of people at the same time. But I don't know about being in love with more than one person at the same time." Blair thought of his mom and all her instances of being in love with more than one person at a time. "So you love this other person too...are you in love with them?"

Bel shrugged. "I don't know. I try not to think of it because...you know. Girlfriend."

"But that's the reason why you have to think about it, Bel. If you just love this person like a friend then there's no problem. If you're lusting after them than it's a bigger deal." Blair hesitated and then shrugged. "If you're really in love with them...then you owe it Phoebe and yourself to figure that out."

"I should just forget about it and put it out of my mind," Bel said. "It doesn't matter anyway."

"It obviously does, man." Blair said quietly. "If it didn't Phoebe wouldn't be a mermaid and you wouldn't be so upset."

"Who is it?"

Bel mumbled a name quickly.

Blair leaned closer. "Uh...who?"

Bel looked around to make sure no one was listening in. "Angel," he whispered.

"No, I'm Bla- oh. Oh." Blair blinked several times in a row. "Oh."

Shaking his head, he tried to come up with something to say and caught Bel's eye. "Oh."
