After Photography, Rory finished making sure all the copies of the newsletter were out and spamming the flist before opening the library.

As soon as she had the door propped open, she set her things down and went back out to drag the rather large fan she had brought with her.

Making sure it was on the oscillating function so nothing would blow away, she contentedly curled up behind the desk with her book.

Angela nodded, suddenly serious. "Uh-huh. Penn. Angelus made him hundreds of years ago." She shivered. "He grabbed Logan and I had to stake him. It was scary."

"And Logan was Logan. But he was friendly. Mostly. We didn't hang out alll that much."

"Oh my God, are you okay?" Rory asked, eyes wide. "I've never had to stake one of them - I don't even know what that would look like."

"Dusty," Angela said. "He was there, and he had Logan, and I -- did it, and then he was gone."

"I never want to do it again. Ever." She sounded very sure.

"How was everything else, though? What about Tahiti and seeing your family and all of that?" Rory asked, reaching into her bag and pulling out a bag of cookies, which she offered to Angela.

"Everything else was good," Angela said, taking a cookie. "Oh, my parents decided not to split up, go figure. And Tahiti is just beyond anything. It's so pretty it's like another planet."

"I'm glad your parents are sticking together," Rory said, leaning on the desk. "Any reason? And you do have pictures of everything, right?"

"They kept having to talk, trying to figure out the settlement," Angela said. "And I guess they talked themselves into not settling. Plus, my dad's girlfriend decided to move back to Texas. Which is really, reallly good."

"And of course I have pictures. I'll have them developed handwavily by this weekend."

"Texas is totally far away and I'm so glad everything's fixing itself and yay pictures!" Rory said happily. "Do you know what you're going to do for your stuff for photography yet?"

"No idea," Angela said, tilting her head. "Actually, can I photograph you for blue? Your eyes would be a neat example. I could do Becky, but..." Angela let her eyes trail off, figuring, 'she's a crazy hooker' could be implied.

"Sure," Rory nodded. "And yeah, Becky is a crazy hooker so probably no. I'll probably get Bucky, actually, since he has Mom's eyes and they're huge."

Angela beamed. "Awwwwww. And yay, now I only have two pictures to figure out. Hey, are you going to go see them this week at all?"

"Definitely. Want to come along?" Rory asked, smiling. "You can hold him, even."

Angela hopped up onto the library counter."If your mom's up for it, absolutely. I'll bring ... something. Is Friday okay? Oh, and maybe Marty would like to come?"

"Marty can totally come too! Friday sounds fine. We had a shower, so we're buried in baby stuff. I think Mom mostly just wants coffee but she can't have it, boo," Rory said woefully.

"That's so sad for her," Angela said. "How come? She must be dying."

"Breast-feeding." Rory made a face. "I told her, she should just switch to formula now. It won't make any difference!"

"Eh," Angela said sympathetically. "I mean, it's supposed to be really good for the kid. What I can't believe is the people who do it until the kid is, like, two."

"Ew!" Rory exclaimed. "Yeah, that won't be happening this time. 'Cause hi, creepy, and I really don't want my family on Dr. Phil."

"Seriously," Angela agreed. "Plus, if the kid has teeth..." she shivered.

"Ow, ow, ow," Rory said, automatically crossing her arms. "Painful imagery. Okay, if I have to? I'm switching Mom's decaf with regular so she has to switch to formula."

"See, you'd think with a name like Starbucks the kid would want to get used to caffeine early. He probably feels completely deprived."

"He totally is. It's ingrained. He might get sick without it," Rory said solemnly.

"He's probably already peaked," Angela said solemnly.

She looked around the library. "So. We still have books."

"They didn't get blown up!" Rory said, pleased.

"No," Angela said, and smiled a little, obviously puzzled. "DId you think someone was going to?"
