Photography Workshop [7/5]

Veronica was smiling as her students entered the classroom. They would find a selection of drinks and pastries from J,GOB on a table to the side.

"Today is our last day. You guys have all been great and I've really enjoyed seeing your interpretations of the weekly prompts. I'd like you to start by going through all the photos you took this session and picking out what you think are your five best. After you do that, you can head to the darkroom to develop your recent photos. When you're all done with that, you're going to display your best photos for your classmates to view. I'd like you all to give each other feedback on the photos. Constructive criticism only, please. We're all here to learn."



[may be slow interaction today; came to work late because of power issues and am catching up from the long weekend.]

"Pretty good," Veronica grinned. "So, what did you think? Are you glad you took this workshop?"

"I suppose I learned a thing or two," Bel said, grinning. "Maybe I can add photographer to the list of possible careers for me after high school."

"I'd say it's better than some of the things you're probably considering after graduation," Veronica remarked with a smirk.

"I could run off to become a lawyer like Lindsey," Bel said, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, right. Can you imagine me in a suit?"

Veronica tilted her head and studied him.

"A demon and a lawyer?" she said. "Insert joke here."

Bel smirked. "Yeah, seems pretty silly, doesn't it?" he said. "I think Charmed One bodyguard will be my career description."

"The pay might be lousy, but the benefits would be great," Veronica pointed out. "So things with you and Phoebe are okay? She doesn't think we're still..."

"So Curvy gave me put it in writing for me that I'm actually a decent writer," Cameron said as he approached Veronica. "What's your verdict?"

"I've never read anything you wrote," Veronica said lightly, knowing that wasn't what he was asking, but unable to pass up the opportunity to tease him.

Cameron sighed. "Why do women have to be so difficult?" Yes, he was fully expecting to get thwapped for that one and quickly took a step back.

Buffy overheard him. She narrowed her eyes, balled up a sheet of paper and lobbed it towards his head. Boys!

Veronica rolled her eyes. "Just for that, I'm not going to tell you how I think you did in this workshop," she said.

"Ow," Cameron scowled in Buffy's direction as he hadn't seen it coming at all. "Have a nice day to you too," he grumbled before turning his attention back to Veronica.

"Come on, you know I was kidding. I like girls."

Veronica gave Buffy a thumbs up and grinned at Cameron.

"I think you did a really great job considering you hadn't intended to sign up," she said. "And if for no other reason, than for that picture of Bel."

Nadia came over towards the end of class. "Hey, Veronica. I just wanted to say, I've really enjoyed this workshop."

Nadia blushed slightly. "Thanks. Um, this might seem like an odd question . . . but do you know anything about World War II?"

Veronica tilted her head and gave Nadia a skeptical look.

"I know what I learned in my history classes," she said. "What about it?"

"Did you learn anything about, um, Poland? In 1944 or 1945?"

"Well, the war ended in 1945," Veronica said. "August, I think. But I don't recall anything about Poland at that time. You could probably find the information online. What do you need it for?"
