"With me its more checking to make sure my eyes are still brown and my neck is okay," Nadia said quietly, then continued in a more normal tone. "Do you think it's a Fandom thing?"

"When isn't it?"

"I don't know what else it could be, since I don't remember doing anything to make me feel as though I should be expecting you to mallet me. Or get another forking from Seras."

"I'm not going to mallet you. I don't think I have a reason to, do I?" She didn't mention that she was carrying her mallet around, today. "We're okay. Right?"

Seras nodded.

"I have been resisting the urge to bash Walter over the head with my lunch tray. But, I'm not sure why. So, I'm not going to."

Walter smiled wanly at Seras. "Thank you for your restraint, since for some reason, I feel as though I would deserve it."

He put his food down and leaned toward Nadia. "I really want us to be okay."

Nadia sighed. "I do, too, but I feel as though you would deserve getting whapped by Seras' tray, too." She shook her head, smiling. "What did you do, dumbass?"

"If I knew, I'd swear never to do it again."

Seras chuckled.

"Maybe I should just thwap you on principle. And we'd all feel better."

Pippi handed Seras a Feesh steeck with which to thwap Walter.

"A fair compromise," said Seras, taking the fish stick then brandishing it at Walter, "En garde, Dornez!"

"You could put someone's eye out with that," Pip said as he sat down. "Never underestimate the power of a fish stick in hand to hand combat."

Walter threw his arms out to bare his chest to the dread thrust of the vorpal fish stick.

"Have at ye."

"Hi Pip." Pippi greeted was she leaned away from Seras and Walter to give them room for their duel.

She hadn't seen him all day yesterday... For some reason, she was glad of that.

Odd.

Seras nodded a greeting to Pip.

"Dead for a ducat!" she declared, bopping Walter on the nose with the fish steek.

"Fish on the nose is just dirty pool," Walter said, wiping his nose off with a napkin. "I hope that helped you feel better."

"Your nose is easier to clean off than your waistcoat," Seras pointed out, "And, I'm not sure. I think I ought to try it again. Just to be safe."

That must have been one hell of a dream they shared because Walter set the napkin aside and held his hands out. "Come on, then."

Seras raised an eyebrow.

"Another free shot? I thought I told you that I didn't want you going easy on me, Dornez."

Nadia had been watching quietly ~~while her mun went shopping~~. "If she doesn't want it, I could take it,"

Wait, no, she wasn't going to be angry at Walter any more. That probably included no free shots.

"Right, Nadia can have the free shot, and Seras will have to take her chances since I won't go easy on her. And then I'm done feeling as though I did something wrong in a dream, because that's just stupid anyway."

Seras laughed.

Then, she slapped herself in the forehead.

Mistake.

"I can't believe I didn't remember this," she said with a wince, "But, in first aid class, I'd talked to Dr. Reid about how I was feeling this morning. I was sort've worried because I didn't remember anything. Just felt really hung over. She asked me some questions about how I woke up and whether I felt...hurt or anything. Anyhow, long story short, other people are having difficulties remembering yesterday, too. So, it probably is a Fandom Thing."

Well, at least it's not just us, then," Nadia said.

Then thwapped Walter (gently) upside the head.

Surprisingly, she really did feel better.

Yeah, I don't think anybody did anything bad yesterday... I don't remember it very well either, but everybody seems okay. So why worry about it?"

She did not thwap Walter with anything.

"Agreed," replied Seras.

Then, she took advantage of Nadia's thwapping Walter to launch a poke attack at his right side.
