Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

Jack's here finally, because his mun was asleep, wearing the hawaiian shirt Izzy made him. Not buttoned though. He's subtly working the shirtlessnes angle. Fruity concoction in hand, he settles by the fire.

"Hey." Jack grinned up at her. "And don't take this the wrong way, because without some sort of outside intervention I know I wouldn't have forgotten you, but I don't remember who you are."

Jack grinned at the pout. "Yeah, apparently it's my exciting new hobby." He patted the ground next to him. "But I think I may just have discovered the worst thing about it, and that's forgetting you."

The pout was quickly replaced by a smile and a lot of blushing. "Well, you're definitely the same Jack," she said. "Well, I'm Cally. It's nice to re-meet you."

"Reintroductions are turning out to be one of my favourite things about coming back." Jack held out a hand. "Jack Harkness at your service."

"Evening, Jack," Sam said, slipping her arm around Jack's waist. She was wearing a long sarong, black halter, and a blue flower in her hair. In her hand was a drink with a lot of fruit and a blue umbrella on the outside, and a lot of rum on the inside. "Happy luau."

"Sam, you look absolutely stunning." Jack curled his arm around her shoulders, enjoying the feel of her bare skin, and kissed her cheek. "And happy luau to you. Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Thank you. Just got here," she kissed his cheek back, her own a little warm from the combination of rum and the compliment, "and so far I'm doing very well. Having fun?"

"When a beautiful Sam sits next to me? How could I not be having a good time." He squeezed her shoulders gently. "I'll be the envy of every other person here."

"Oh completely." Jack wrapped his other arm around her, smiling down at her. "They'll be dragging me away in a minute. I'd better take advantage of this chance while I have it."

D raised her own drink in greeting, "hello cabinmate!"

"Greetings, D'anna. I don't think I've seen you since that first day." He raised his drink in salute. "How have you been?"

"It's been an interesting two weeks. I'm going to miss having so many pseudo suite-mates, but I can't complain." D smiled. "How about you?"

"I think that cabins may be one of the best ideas this school has ever had," he replied, smirking broadly. "And interesting is the word for it, along with 'fun' and 'pretty'."

"You may very well be right, Jack. Seawhores forever!" D took a quick drink. "Speaking of 'fun' and 'pretty', what item did you wind up with in workshop yesterday?" Because in D's mind, the those three things naturally flowed together. It's also possible that her drink isn't entirely made up of just fruit juice and ice, helping those things flowing together a little more easily.

Jack snickered. "Blindfold. Which should make things even more inteersting." He eyed her speculatively. "You hear about those on the radio, or have you got something moe personal lined up?"

Jaye hasn't seen Jack since he's been back. And she did make a promise on the radio. So she greets him with, "You missed the boykissy."

"I know," Jack said sadly, hanging his head. "I'm devestated."

Loking around, he leaned closer and whispered, "I was talking to Dean, and we were thinking - Jack-kissy night?"
