Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

Try your luck at the Limbo Stick of Destiny! Add threads for rounds as necessary, but please don't get too far ahead of the rest of the group. A winner may receive some sort of mystical abilities at the end of the day! Or, more likely, Tick will give you a little trophy.

The bar is pretty high! Low difficulty!

Luau is an AWESOME word. Luau. Luuuuau. Luaaaaaaau. Luau luau luau luau luau...

The bar's a little lower, but still manageable.

I think there needs to be sixties beach party music to dance to.

It's mainly for the students, but it is a school event, so yes. :)

. . . and now I have the scene on the beach between Starcat and Chicklet when he's describing what he does on a date running through my head.

Then . . . this could be it. The momentous occasion that folks have been waiting for. Artie and the Tick could potentially actually meet!

Though now I'm suddenly thinking it would be funnier if they never, ever did. . . .

Also the eating of the ice cream sammich at the drive-in.

I may have to go ~~buy~~ rent the DVD so I can watch it this evening.

I'm going to be slow all day, actually, so it's possible that they won't today. :)
