Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

God bless Psycho Beach Party. Actual luau pictures. With lei. Oh, Nicky, your sometimes-odd taste in roles makes me happy yet again.

. . . and now I have the scene on the beach between Starcat and Chicklet when he's describing what he does on a date running through my head.

Also the eating of the ice cream sammich at the drive-in.

I may have to go ~~buy~~ rent the DVD so I can watch it this evening.

OMG, so bad but yet . . . still so very, very bad. The cop is the best character.

One of my favorites. And, well, sure. He's the one who wrote and directed it.

I recommend Die, Mommie, Die. Same writer and director, but *worse*. It may have been first.

*ponders subjecting the Silver Spring crew to Psycho Beach Party next. It wouldn't top JCVH, but it just might break their brains again. . . .*

I'd love to see the stage show, too.

I think this should happen. Have they really not seen it?

And, considering the fact that Chicklet actually has three personalities, she could be in three monogamous OTPs at one time!

Hm. Maybe we should actually, like, send our characters to the luau.

...I think MPD was, like, the one issue that never happened on Six Feet Under.

I'm sure Allan Ball would be very ashamed of himself if he realized they had missed it.

My little brother was watching that when I was home two weeks ago and I kind of spazzed "OMG IS THAT NICHOLAS BRENDAN? DOES HE TAKE HIS SHIRT OFF?"

I only caught bits & pieces because I was in and out... but wow... WEIRD flick.

But he does end up shirtless. Or at least barechested.

And surfing.

becuase of the it sounds a little obscure and we don't sem to be able to get obscure US movies over here, I mean I had to get Empire Records imported!

It might have gone straight to DVD, too. I remember I had to hunt down my copy. . . .
