Library, 4/27

A surly teenage boy is behind the counter, attempting to hide his face in a back issue of Rolling Stone.

He is very much hoping today will be the quietest day in library history, but the library is open and full of books anyhow. A new handwritten sign on the library door reads, END OF SEMESTER -- ALL BOOKS DUE MAY 5. NO EXCEPTIONS.

"Hunh. Yeah, I think you're right. And he-- she?-- just borrowed my second-favorite Armani. As well as shoes, a bra, and hairspray. Let me say that while I've loaned stuff to a lot of girls at this school, this definitely qualified as the weirdest fashion experience to date." Parker shook her head, then tentatively asked, "How are you doing?"

"He borrowed a bra from you?" Angela said. "Though no way would mine have fit him, so. Thank you for helping, but yeah, weird."

"And I'm okay, I guess? It's just very strange and I keep being aware of ... it, when I walk or sit or whatever."

"Sports bra. No clasps. It's not like he'll hurt himself on it." Parker shrugged. "He looks a lot better, but I don't think his mood has improved any. He was swearing revenge on Veronica in ACJ. I'd say he probably had it coming for whatever he did, but I'm sorry you got sucked into it."

"Ack." Parker facepalmed. "Okaaaaay. This is so odd. I didn't talk to Nadia when this happened in England, so I didn't really think about it..."

"Veronica was in on this too?" Angela groaned. "I may have to kill her."

"I talked to Nadia about it a little. Maybe she could give me, like, the user's guide to guy bodies later on."

"Yeah, something about a sailor suit?" Parker shook her head. "Okay, that's... an odd thought, that I am going to back away from very slowly." She whistled tunelessly, then said, "You could make borrow some clothes from Marty. You're way taller as a guy. Weird."

Angela swallowed. He was not thinking about Veronica in a sailor suit because that would be ... bad. Pretty, but bad.

"I had some baggy stuff that kind of fit even with the extra height," he said. "Think I should try one of his suits tonight?"

"Sure. Might as well make the best of it." Parker cocked her head. "How many classes have you got today? And do you feel any different, aside from the physical stuff? I mean, do you want to be ruder or cruder or anything?"

"Only music," Angela said. "And not cruder or anything, but more agressive, I guess? And, okay, you know the theory that everyone is bisexual? I'm kind of looking at girls ... different."

Parker blinked, looking stunned, then intrigued. "Reeeeeeally." She visibly swallowed about fifteen things she wanted to ask, then just couldn't resist. "Like who?"

Angela bit his lip. "Like I'm going to give you the blackmail material," he said. "Just ... people. Who are female."

Parker grins and spins on her spinny chair. "I wouldn't tell Marty. I swear!" Then she cocked her head. "So they're right about the everyone's a little bisexual thing? I wonder if I'd still be attracted to Jarod if I was a guy? Are you still attracted to Marty? Well, he's a girl now...."

Angela thought about it.

And thought some more, because the thought was ... distracting. "I'm attracted to my mental image of boy-Marty," he finally said. "But I'm not sure girl-Marty is really my type. She has a pretty mouth, though."

"Hunh. And yeah, she does. And her hair's under control now." Parker folded her arms, considering all this. "So boy-you might be either bisexual or just in love with Marty, since it's still you in there. And boy-you has a different type from girl-Marty, and... it's just all interesting. I'd almost want to be a guy for a day, but I think I'd make a lousy guy." She studied Angela. "You're not too bad as a guy, really. The clothes don't help, but you're actually kind of a cute."

"Really?" Angela said, smiling. "The hair bugs me way more than it does when I'm a girl." She contemplated that for a second. "Do you think boy-Marty's hair would be like girl-Marty's if he let it grow? Because that's kind of an argument for forcing him to keep it short."

The thought of a male Parker was a little too scary to touch.

"You need to get it cut, I think. Well, obviously not, if the haircut would translate back to girl-you." Parker shook her head. "And maybe? He does have a lot of natural wave. Kind of terrifying to contemplate."

"Yeah, it's staying where it is for now. It's only one day," Angela said, unhappily brushing a strand back from her eyes. "Maybe I could make one of those dorky little ponytails."

"God, no. Please don't. It'll just look lame." Parker shook her head. "At least Marty's changed too, it would be a helluva lot more awkward if your boy boyfriend was having to cope with you-as-a-guy, I think."

Angela snorted. "That would be when we would really need to test that 'everyone is bisexual' theory," he said.

"Ohhh, yeah." Parker suddenly grinned. "Aren't you glad Rory and Jaye aren't here to demand that you do this tomorrow again, so they can have boykissy?"

[back in a few hours!]

"They can bug Bridge and Xander," Angela said firmly. "Never. Doing. This. Again."

[OOC: *clings*]

"Fair enough." Parker still looked cheerful. "Not like I care who boy-Marty kisses, so whatever. Although I find girl-Marty an oddly amusing and easier-to-deal-with contrast. I'm more alpha than she is when we're the same gender, I think."

"Huh," Angela said, blinking. "I can believe that."

"Hey, to completely change the subject? I'm supposed to fight Cam Mitchell after school. How can I, y'know, not get killed?"

Parker stared, then facepalmed. "Have you ever in a fistfight in your life? Ever?"

Angela thought for a minute.

A long minute.

"My sister and I used to slap at each other and stuff, sometimes, when we were really little," he said. "Does that count?"

"... you are gonna die." Parker sighed in despair. "Okay. Uh. Don't put your thumb inside your fist. Make sure the rules of the fight say no blows below the waist, because Cam's fast and you really, really don't want to find out what that'll feel like when you're a guy. And worst case scenario, kiss him. It works for me." She gave Angela a small glare. "Or you can always back out? Why are you guys even fighting, again?"
