Detention - Saturday 4/22

[ooc: Detention is being posted in fandomhigh as usual for consistency, however, detention activites are occurring in town at the Town Hall.]


Lorelai is waiting in the foyer of the town hall promptly at 8am. She's looking longingly at the coffee and doughnuts spread that Luke thoughtfully provided while sipping her herbal tea and eating a banana.

She checks names off a clipboard as people arrive.

"Okay gang. This detention can be as easy or as hard as you make it," she says once everyone has arrived. "If you put a little effort in to getting the work done, you can be out of here in more than enough time to enjoy the prom. If you don't, well, you're only hurting yourself."

Lorelai tapes up a list of information that people might need.

[ETA: I turned off comment screening so that townies who have stuff for helping to set up the prom can poke in. That would probably be best under the Other Misc Decoration thread. Also, StuCo members and faculty who might have need of being involved in set up are more than welcome!]

Angel really wanted to deny this but on the other hand Exhibit A was not realizing he'd had a crush on you-know-who for God knows how long now.

"I'm trying!" Angel said. There might've been a whine in his tone. "It's not easy, you know. Not like I have a lot of experience in this area."

"Okay," Angel said. He was curious, but on the other hand he didn't exactly want to encourage Bel not to keep secrets. "And - I know. I've got to get better at this. Especially since it's not like me and you-know-who can settle this with a night of amazing sex that we can never have again."

Tone on that last bit? Totally ended up wistful. He really sucked at this.
