The Library

Janet was slightly out of breath from running across town to get to the school and open the library on time. And to get coffee while on the way.

"Well, yes. Any hint that works is good," Elizabeth nodded. "I'm sure we can have a night of discussion and, um, explore our options that night."

"It would certainly keep you awake," said Janet, smiling. "And I'd do anything for a friend. Including explore our options together."

"It appears that it will be a very fruitful night," Elizabeth nodded. "Perhaps slightly busy, but I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem for us."

"I like this alternate universe," said Janet, a little wistfully. "It sounds very enjoyable."

"It does," Elizabeth sighed. She looked at Janet. "You know, if we changed a few details, I'm free tonight..."

"You know, I think I've got some spare time," said Janet thoughtfully. "I could maybe leave the library a little early too."

"That sounds like it could work out perfectly," Elizabeth said. "I mean, I've not just negotiated myself free from kidnappers, nor do I have a potential head injury but I'm sure that won't detract from the experience."
