"All very good points for short," said Janet. She reached up and pulled a bit of her hair back from her face, then tried to study herself in her laptop monitor. "I think that would work. I keep thinking about straightening my hair again. This is the longest I've gone in years without having done something to it." She let her hair drop and looked back at Angela. "I think a French braid will be perfect. Are you going to have them braid it up, or let it fall down the back of your neck?"
Janet's eyes widened. "Detention? You're kidding me. What kind of jerk gives detention on prom weekend?"
"Very elegant," said Janet. "I'm planning on drop earrings too. What stone?"
"Wow. Just when you didn't think she could get any more petty." Janet rolled her eyes. "Honestly, you don't have her for class, so I know you wouldn't have done it on purpose."
"They are clearly obsessed with each other, right? She turns him into animals, they impersonate each other on the radio, all of that. And she never turns anyone else into an animal."
Angela licked her lips, and it was hard to tell how serious she was. "I think they have this massive mutual crush and just need to act on it, and all the turning-into-animals stuff is, like, her version of foreplay. Though apparently she's cut waaaaaay back. Maybe their passion is cooling?"
Janet started giggling helplessly. "Oh, poor Wilbur is going to be heartbroken!" she exclaimed. "Skeeter apparently left him for a younger man. Maybe if they danced together at prom, their passion would be rekindled?"
"It would be worth it," said Janet, leaning on the desk and trying to catch her breath. "Maybe we'll get lucky and Aeryn will think it's funny too? Hey, I wonder if we could get one of the lost cities of the theme decorated with all the animals she's turned John into?"
"I have to help paint thosein art class," Angela said, sucking on a pen. "But I can't actually draw." She thought for a minute. "Maybe I could talk Angel or Jake Gavin into it. They're all artsy."
"And always up for the embarrassment of others," said Janet. "Do we know if there's any wandering shrubbery that we could bribe to get this on the radio?"
"There's a pirate in class with us," Angela said. "He might happen to notice something."
A worried expression crossed her face. "I mean -- I don't want to seriously embarass John or Aeryn. Especially Aeryn. I mostly just think it's funny he and Skeeter have this thing, you know?"
"Pirates are generally very observant people, I've noticed," said Janet innocently.
"You could check with Aeryn first, maybe," suggested Janet. "Because it's not like we want to get either Aeryn or John mad, and she'd know if John would be upset."
Angela reconsidered. "Nah. I don't think just the animals would have too much embarassment potential, especially since he might be prom prince anyhow. It's like a tribute."
"but we should talk to Aeryn before we try to make him and Skeeter dance."

Re: Second Period
She rolled her eyes at Janet's next question. "Skeeter. I splashed juice on her in the hall yesterday."

"And I am so glad I didn't take class with her, believe me." She grinned wickedly. "Did I tell you my theory about her and John Crichton?"
Re: Second Period
"Ooh, you didn't," said Janet, her eyes lighting up. "Share, Angela."
