Why did the entire island smell a bit like chocolate pudding? It was probably nothing, right?

"Welcome to our final team-building exercise today!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "It's based on a series of obstacle courses called a Tough Mudder, but mud is too easy!"

...that would explain the pudding smell.

"Working in teams of seven, you will race around the island, conquering each obstacle! McGarrett, stop looking so excited about this. Listen for your names! NO POWERS."

At least Will was leaving the shirt on for this one?

You’re welcome, Libby.

His first partner for this one appreciated it as well, and Amaya had no modesty about her own strength here, so you'd better believe she was going to be far more comfortable offering her own back over getting onto Will's.

"Hop on," she offered, with a hitch of her thumb, "I'm sure I've hauled heavier than you most days."

“Fine with me,” Will said, doing just that.

And Amaya, knowing full well that these were the obstacles where it was going to be particularly important to one-up Diaz (and she felt she already was, by being the piggy being backed in this case; clearly, Diaz was taking the easy way out by being the back! Ha! Take that, Diaz!), took to the race with determination, eyes on the prize, and, just as she claimed, barely even noticing the weight of Will because strength as a blacksmith wasn't a perk, it was a necessity.

THANK YOU, WILL. How very kind of you! That was much appreciated!

Libby was still sort of feeling like she would have been better off just sinking in the pond by now, but hopefully the other obstacles would involve less awkward moments with her sort-of boss.

"At least I should be easy to carry?" she offered hopefully, feeling a little bad for all the different ways she wished today had played out other than this.

“There is that,” Will said, as he crouched down so Libby could hop on. “Let’s do this.”

Libby almost thought of apologizing to Will for this, but it was the instructions, it was just part of the game, so the person she ended up apologizing to before hopping onto his back and looping her arms around his shoulders was Jesus, quietly and under her breath and just closing her eyes as tightly as she was holding onto him to pray for it to at least be quick.

Even if that would all fade pretty quickly, because she didn't know how all those stairs were going to be for Dr. Halstead, but for her? Once she got over her awkwardness about it, it was actually kind of fun? It definitely didn't take long to remember why piggybacks were always a favorite among the Littles, too.
