Why did the entire island smell a bit like chocolate pudding? It was probably nothing, right?

"Welcome to our final team-building exercise today!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "It's based on a series of obstacle courses called a Tough Mudder, but mud is too easy!"

...that would explain the pudding smell.

"Working in teams of seven, you will race around the island, conquering each obstacle! McGarrett, stop looking so excited about this. Listen for your names! NO POWERS."

Obstacle One: Castaway

Working in pairs, you must straddle what looks suspiciously like punching bags from the gym. Use the ropes Anakin has helpfully strung across the park's pond and make your way from one side to the other!

[OOC: It's the last week, so everyone participates in everything!

"Ohhhh no," said Graham, color draining from his face as he realized there was another one over the pond, and you'd better believe, he was going to be straddling that punching bag thing with every muscle in his thighs both times in desperation to ensure that he at least didn't fall off, and boy, was he going to feel glad he hadn't skipped an arm day since he was granted vision of great Buffness at that Reunion!

Oh no, Graham still had noodle arms, too!

He was working on them, though! But, hey, he also didn't weight as much and he gave Jon a somewhat uncertain grin that had attempted to be encouraging.

"Yeah," he said, reaching over to start pulling the rope. "We can! Just...please, let's try not to fall off, I don't know how to swim."

Maybe if he spent less time working on those future gains and more time working on fixing that, he wouldn't be in this nervous mess right now!

"You're basically an expert at this by now," Steve said with real enthusiasm as he got onto the punching bag.

"Ha ha ha." Very natural laugh there, Graham, very good. But honestly, it was a little reassuring knowing that he'd done this already once before, and that Steve definitely had more than a one-up on both him and Jon combined when it came to the arms department.

His confidence would be a little stronger, though, as he joined Steve on the bag, if he could be assured of at least one thing:

"Soooo.....if I were to fall off, and I just turned over to lie on my back, would you pull me back up?"

Jo looked very uncertain about this activity, especially since she had a feeling that she could very easily fall off.

She hoped the pond wasn't that deep.

"Um..." sorry Beaker, Jo was trying really hard to not stare but she couldn't help it, "er - hello?" she eventually stammered, feeling extremely nervous about the whole thing.

"Surprisingly strong for these," he said lifting the admittedly scrawny looking arms. "Guess strength and metabolism don't count as cheating? Not like I can turn them off or choose not to use it."

"This is gonna get messy," Will commented, and off came the shirt that he'd just put on.

What? Giving a friend a chocolate-pudding-stained shirt would just be weird. Couldn't do that.

Yes, but you could wash it, Will, come on!

Because now you had a partner for the first activity that had just gone from determined to make even the silliness of the event work and maybe even be a good teambuilding experience with essentially her boss to being extremely awkward and uncomfortable and nervous about it in the amount of time it took to remove said shirt.

It was fine! She could just focus on getting across the pond. Twice, apparently, but so help her, if her second time across involved an adult male removing his shirt around her, too, she was just going to have to forfeit entirely and sink into the pond instead.

Well, it was a good thing the self-defense training she'd been doing with Vi had given Steph a little bit more upper body exercise, she guessed. Probably not enough to make a huge difference here by the time her turn came around, though.

Belle did not have the greatest upper body strength, unsurprisingly. Dwight was going to have to pick up some slack here but somehow that didn't seem like it would be too much of a problem.
