Did anyone want to be awake for this after the kraken drill?

Was that going to stop Anakin? Of course not!

The bleachers were down on the beach today, along with eight large rafts floating semi-precariously out in the water. Was this tempting a real kraken to arrive?

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.

"Today it's really, ridiculously hot," Anakin yelled through the megaphone. "So I'm letting you get wet! You're welcome!"

"You will be conducting a water balloon fight out there on the water. You will be given hand-held balloon launchers, and a bucket full of water balloons." Which may or may not contain water. "You will have teams of eight. Fastest team to pass a water balloon all the way down the line wins. You get a time penalty at the end for each balloon that breaks along the way. Listen for your names!''

Stark had not managed to get back to sleep after the radio so he was clutching some coffee in one hand while hoping he might be spared this week. He would not be.

"That's...different," Stark said, eyeing his shirt warily. "Very different. Not better. But different."

"Yeah, I am literally taking continuous psychic damage from this and I absolutely cannot," Steph declared, staring in horror at the shirt for a moment or two before she held it out at arm's length and just dropped it, then kicked a little sand over it.

Maybe she was still a little sleep-deprived and cranky from the kraken drill, but it totally, logically followed that in keeping with the shirts' theme she could just, like... strip down to her sports bra, right? Because that was happening.

After the incident with the dock, Vi had taken to wearing her new swimsuit under her outer layers for this thing, and was in the middle of stripping down to it when she caught sight of Steph, and well, she'd remember to finish taking her trousers off in a moment.

"Oh, hi," Steph said with a slightly sheepish grin.

Maybe she should just apologize to Vi's entire team in advance? It wasn't like she was trying to make them lose on purpose or anything though.

Liz had not been sleeping very well to begin with these last few days so she was very tired and distracted but she had told Prompto she would go down to the Shenanigans and this might be the last chance she had to do one for a while so she was there and trying to stay focused.

That's what Steph would say, wouldn't she. It wasn't like she was competitive or anything.

"Uh, hey," Vi replied as she very heroically managed not to trip over her own feet as she finished kicking off her trousers.

Vi may have been so completely distracted by something that she completely failed to notice they'd started.

I for one am protesting this insistence that time keeps moving forward.

Please, like she was actually going to draw attention to Vi's lack of composure by saying anything about it. Besides, she hadn't intentionally done this to throw Vi's game off! She'd still take the advantage though.

"I seriously can't decide who has the worst shirts this week," Steph said, "but I stand by my decision that I'm still sticking to the theme."

Don't suppose it would help if someone told it there are other directions?

Judges would also accept standing still. I mean it feels like that for so many of us so that clearly should apply to children who insist on getting older.
