Did anyone want to be awake for this after the kraken drill?

No.

Was that going to stop Anakin? Of course not!

The bleachers were down on the beach today, along with eight large rafts floating semi-precariously out in the water. Was this tempting a real kraken to arrive?

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.

"Today it's really, ridiculously hot," Anakin yelled through the megaphone. "So I'm letting you get wet! You're welcome!"

Wait to hear what you're doing first before expressing your gratitude.

"You will be conducting a water balloon fight out there on the water. You will be given hand-held balloon launchers, and a bucket full of water balloons." Which may or may not contain water. "You will have teams of eight. Fastest team to pass a water balloon all the way down the line wins. You get a time penalty at the end for each balloon that breaks along the way. Listen for your names!''

Okay, even Buck thought these shirts were suspect. Was he going to keep it anyway? Absolutely. Had to keep the collection going.

"These are definitely the worst of the lot," Miguel proclaimed, eyeing the thing.

"I'll agree with that," Buck said. "Still keeping it though."

"Why?" Miguel asked, aghast. "I'm seriously considering leaving it off and going shirtless instead."

"Because free shirt?" What was wrong with you people?

"Free hideous shirt, and I bet this fabric doesn't even dye." Because if it did, that would be too lucky.

Miguel took off his existing shirt instead and tossed the ugly one toward Buck. "There you go; another free shirt." He wasn't quite as hairy as the shirt, but he'd be just fine like this.

"Hey, thanks," Buck said, happily accepting the shirt. "My collection will appreciate this."

When the laundry went on strike and Buck was the only one in town with shirts you'll all be sorry.

Very possibly, but for now Miguel was happy. "You're nuts, but okay."

“You are welcome to add mine to your collection, not even pre-worn this time,” Will said. “Or I could just… throw it into the ocean.”

He would not. That was littering and also apparently there might be krakens out there? But he would totally get rid of it, because ugh.

"You know what? I'm gonna pass this time," Buck said with a grin. "They're not even Hawaiian!"

He was only into the tacky Hawaiian ones!

"How are people gonna know what team you're on if you're not wearing a shirt?"

“I do not blame you,” Will said. “As for the team thing…” he shrugged. “I’ll figure that part out when he explains what we’re supposed to do.”

"Fair point," Buck said. "I might ditch mine if it involves swimming. Don't need that thing weighing me down."

Okay, was the world conspiring to keep making Will picture Buck shirtless? Because this was the second time in two days now.

“There are plenty of words I could use to describe these and ‘aerodynamic’ is not on that list,” Will agreed.

It was summer! Shirtlessness came up a lot!

"But there are other colorful words you can use."

“Fugly comes to mind.”
