Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

It was unseasonably warm in Fandom today, which was good news for anyone who didn't want to have to worry about bundling up, and bad news for anyone hoping for a snowy picnic. Traditions were traditions though, so there was still a bonfire going and plenty of supplies for s'mores and hot chocolate among the variety of foods and drinks that had been prepared for the new folks.

Once everything was set up and un-tasteful amounts of glitter had been brushed off of everything, it was time to be welcoming!

Oh, hey, look at that! New blue kid not only was immediately more interesting that most of the students they'd been getting in these days, but he seemed proactive about his new situation, too! That was kind of impressive, actually, and her expression seemed to suggest that she thought as much, too.

"Just Summer's fine," she told him with a grin. "The one about dismantaling evil and bogus galactic empires and still looking cute while doing it, right?"

She was still a little tiffed that apparently her class name was too long and so that last (very important!) part got cut off of a lot of the schedules and materials.

"Not sure I will ever be able to pass for cute.... (don't kid yourself Kurt you were absolutely adorable!) but I am definitely up to learning what I can. I'm Kurt by the way" he said with a big grin.

"Oh, please," said Summer, without even a beat to jump on thay side-narrative, "you're already friggin' adorable. Besides, that's the easier part, anyway. But it's nice to meet you, Kurt. Are you excited about getting started here at Fandom High?"

If the dark blue tones didn't do such a good job at hiding it, Summer could have seen a slight flush take Kurt's cheek at that comment. He nodded slightly and then found his voice again.

"I am!" he said with a grin. "Though it looks like I am going to be quite busy this semester" he said holding up the paper with the all-too-long list of classes he had been signed up for. "But I am very glad I got yours. It was one of the ones I specifically asked for so I'm glad the Professor signed me up for it!"
