Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 25, Period 1, 04/11/06

"Um, hi," Rory said a bit nervously. "Professor Tick is out sick, so we're just going to watch some more movies and do a reading from our awesome textbooks, okay?"

She stuck a DVD into the player, and smiled as the Looney Tunes music filled the room.

She turned to face everyone quickly. "Oh, and this week's metaphor is, um, capes and your extra credit is to tell me how a weetiny bunny could aid someone's work for Justice."

"This is madness," he whispered to himself as he stared at the screen.

Parker sends Cameron an amused look, and comments, "Says the guy voluntarily wearing the superhero costume he had to be cajoled into last time."

Veronica walked in at the last possible moment without being late. She sat in the back of the room and carefully avoided looking in any direction that might cause her to lock eyes with Angel or Logan.

Halfway through class, her phone vibrated and as soon as the period was over, she checked her voicemail and bolted.

Angel barely paid attention. He doodled in his notebook, and kept the picture close so that nobody could see it.

Aeryn's not watching the movie. She hates Looney Tunes.

Instead she kinda prays for death.

Or maybe a Rubik's Cube.

Sam would have paid attention, except that Cameron's in a superhero costume, Anakin's dressed like Zorro, and her new Quantum Physics professor was starring in their educational material.

"Is it too late to start today over again?"

Archie props his chin up on his hands to watch the movie. Absently, he thinks the Smurfs are more fun.

Janet watched the movie. Which was fascinating, if a little confusing.

So he's wearing a superhero costume. Aeryn had told him it wasn't offending and she seemed to like it better than the F16 pajamas.

Bridge looks at Cam oddly, and briefly ponders doing a scan to see if he's, y'know, all right... and then he notices Anakin's (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/800409.html?thread=37488537#t37488537) getup, shrugs, and figures today must be another random costume day.

Aeryn's just going to ignore. Seriously, weird.

Parker brought her camera. Because she knew what to expect. Oh yes.

Cam being in costume is just a bonus.

Anakin? Was wearing a cape.

And a mask.

And a Zorro hat.

And no, he didn't want to talk about it.

He slid into his usual desk and wondered if it would be cheating to use his Jedi skills to make sure that no one noticed him.

He wondered if it might be worth it anyway.

He wondered if Anakin's clothing would offend people as well.

Rising up from his seat, he cleared his throat and held up a hand. "Excuse my ignorance, master, but what would the metaphor you require be about?"

Re: Turn stuff in [Class 25]

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-04-11 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Metaphor:

Justice is a cape that keeps the inclement weather of Evil from making you too wet or cold. Assuming Justice is made of wool. Justice should also not be put in a hot wash if that's the case.

Extra credit:

They could use their weetiny paws to pick locks, as well as place weetiny technology like bugs and cameras where evildoers can't see them.

He finally does hand in a piece of paper, but the handwriting is wonky like you'd expect from someone who just learned to write:

"Julius of Arsenii wore his cloak with pride. It bellowed in the wind and those who stood behind him could hear the words of the gods in its sound. They knew that he would lead them down to the path of enlightment.

It would take many a weetinybunny to feed the followers of Justice, but they would prepare it well and be grateful for the weetinyfeast."

Metaphor: Capes, while some (like myself) may find them somewhat impractical and not exactly necessary, are the sense of flair some agents of justice use to distinguish themselves.

Extra Credit: Weetinybunnies should not be underestimated; even the heart of the most hardened criminal would be softened by them, and that may be the proverbial crack in the dam that would spark a reformation.
