Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 25, Period 1, 04/11/06

"Um, hi," Rory said a bit nervously. "Professor Tick is out sick, so we're just going to watch some more movies and do a reading ~~from our awesome textbooks~~, okay?"

She stuck a DVD into the player, and smiled as the Looney Tunes music filled the room.

She turned to face everyone quickly. "Oh, and this week's metaphor is, um, capes and your extra credit is to tell me how a weetiny bunny could aid someone's work for Justice."

Poor Tick's player is, in fact, not feeling well. Woe. So sorry for the thrown-togetherness of today's class.

"This is madness," he whispered to himself as he stared at the screen.

So he's wearing a superhero costume. Aeryn had told him it wasn't offending and she seemed to like it better than the F16 pajamas.

Rising up from his seat, he cleared his throat and held up a hand. "Excuse my ignorance, master, but what would the metaphor you require be about?"

Parker sends Cameron an amused look, and comments, "Says the guy voluntarily wearing the superhero costume he had to be cajoled into last time."

He frowns, "I was assured this does not offend. I apologise if it does."

Parker brought her camera. Because she knew what to expect. Oh yes.

Cam being in costume is just a bonus.

"Offend?" Parker gives him a cock-eyed look. "No. Amuse? Yes. Or have you forgotten Isabel and I rating you on your ability to strut?"

"Of course not," he replies smoothly and inclines his head. "It is a pleasure to know that my ability to strut has left a good impression with you and Isabel."

Okay, that's... odd. Because he should be protesting that superheroes saunter, not strut. And he's being oddly formal, for Cam-boy. Parker's eyes narrow as she studies him. "Cam-boy?"

He frowns and catches a glimpse of the movie. "These creatures are extremely violent."

Veronica walked in at the last possible moment without being late. She sat in the back of the room and carefully avoided looking in any direction that might cause her to lock eyes with Angel or Logan.

Halfway through class, her phone vibrated and as soon as the period was over, she checked her voicemail and bolted.

"Yeah. That's the point." Frowning, Parker considers her options, debating whether Cam is possessed, ill, or crazy. Hell, who has Cam-watch?

She looks around for his now-ex-girlfriend, in order to pass her a note. Or maybe she'll call Kawalsky after class, and give him a head's up.

"Cameron, I'm not your master. I'm not even your mistress. Relate Justice to a cape," Rory said, raising an eyebrow.

You are very welcome, yay.

*pats and gives you tea*

"I see," he says thoughtfully, staring at the screen once more. "I'm afraid I'm not following the deeper meaning of this particular story."

"Justice to a cape?" He questioned and shook his head. "As you wish, madam."

Parker watches Bugs thwart Elmer in his quest to take him down, and she comments, "Hunters are stupid? Bunnies are smart? If you want to sneak up on someone, don't wear orange?"

Yeah, she's definitely calling Kawalsky.

"These do not strike me as highly educational topics," he says simply.

Parker slips out, calls Kawalsky (http://kawalsky.livejournal.com/732.html?thread=350940#t350940), then comes back. "Educational? Well, you the Professor would make it have a point. Rory tries, but I think she's not experienced enough in metaphor and justice to really pull it off."

Anakin? Was wearing a cape.

And a mask.

And a Zorro hat.

And no, he didn't want to talk about it.

He slid into his usual desk and wondered if it would be cheating to use his Jedi skills to make sure that no one noticed him.

He wondered if it might be worth it anyway.
