Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 24, Period 1, 04.06.06

[OOC: Projects can be presented as late as Tuesday, so take some time and have some fun if you want. Don't forget to wear hats for EC. If you'd like, the shop can probably generate a hat for you. And what follows is probably the shortest main body to a class post I've ever written. Class Info Post.]

"Welcome to the Danger Shop, class! Today are your presentations. When it's your turn, please get up, present your theory, and do whatever it is you're going to do with the shop! I can't wait to see what everyone came up with!"

Jaye answers that by putting on her duck bill. Which is one of those masks painters wear, only painted yellow.

"It's for a grade," says Jaye, though her voice is muffled by her new bill.

Jaye's up in front of the class before Aeryn's even standing up.

"Hi," she says. "I know this was supposed to be a simulation, but I felt a good old-fashioned skit was more to the heart of the assignment. And also, I was sleep-deprived like woah when I came up with this, and Aeryn here is no freaking help-"

Aeryn glares at her. And wonders how she can kill Jaye with a bunny headband.

"-so I did the best with what I had to work with," she says. "So. Yeah. Aeryn, your bunny ears?"

Still glaring, even more than she did at yesterday's girlkissy (hi, Callisto), Aeryn puts the headband on and picks up her script.

Of course, the bunny ears are felt. So they won't stay up. And she immediately has to keep brushing one ear out of her eye.

Jaye is having fun with this. So she wipes a hand in front of her smiling face, and when she's visible again, her expression is blank. This is what we call getting into character.

"I am the terror that flaps in the night. I am the duck of evil! Mwahahahahahahaha," she recites.

Look, she was really sleep-deprived.

Aeryn watches her, still glaring, and then picks up her script. And glares at it. And in a complete monotone, reads, "I am the bunny of justice, thwarting all evildoers. Oh, look, there is the duck of evil. I should thwart it. I'm not frelling doing this."

"Don't break character!" Jaye admonishes.

She clears her throat. "I will not be thwarted, you violent skank! Quack, omg," she says, taking about ten huge steps back, out of killination range. "Watch me do horrible things like litter, and hunt bunnies out of season."

She drops a crumpled up ball of paper to the floor. See, she even has props.

Aeryn counts out drama as a possible career choice, as she's thinking with enough force she can stab Jaye in the throat with the headband.

"But it's duck season," she monotones. "Can I shoot you now?"

She pushes the felt ear out of her eye. There's glitter on her forehead now.

"No," answers Jaye, now struggling to get back to the script to make the line work. "Yes, it is in fact duck season. That's why this is illegal and horrible. You are not a very smart bunny, are you?"

"At least I'm not the duck," Aeryn retorts. And pushes the ear out of her face.

Aeryn folds her arms over her chest and sets her jaw, and isn't saying a word.

"Let's just skip to the big finish," says Jaye. Because Aeryn sucks.

"Blah blah, the bunny's dumb, blah blah, the duck rules, and then we get to the part where I stop narrating because Princess Folder Helmet over here can't help a girl out, and..."

She pulls her own glitter headband out from her back pocket. And puts it on her own head. "I'm the bunny."

"You are not! I have the damn glitter to prove it!" She can see a speck of it on her eyelash. It's annoying.
