The Library is Open (04/06)

Rory staggered in and opened the library during second period, nursing her second cup of coffee and looking very much the worse for wear.

[Goin' up early like whoa so I can sleep in and not worry about it. Rory'll be available for interaction around 1 EST.]

Parker sighed. "One? Just one? Yummy strawberries. Full of Vitamin C, so you don't get sick while... dealing with stuff." She's really wishing she'd whapped Anakin during ACJ now.

When in doubt, go for the guilt. "Your mom would. You can't be sick around her while she's pregnant." Parker studied Rory. "Have you told her that you're dealing with stuff yet?"

Parker gave up and ate the strawberry herself. Having discussed with Jarod what she'd do if he left last night, she's mostly grateful Rory has never smoked. "Ice cream tonight?"

"Last night. Dorms were loud. I don't like heights, so no roof." She shrugged. "Beach seemed like a good idea."

She hugged her arms around herself. "Until he showed up."

Rory's eyes went very wide and she covered her mouth. "Oh, God, what if I did? What if I made him cry? I am a horrible person."

"No, you're not. If you didn't see it, and you didn't deliberately try to, then no, you are not a horrible person, Rory. Stop it." Parker handed her a napkin to dry any tears on. "You guys -- are having issues. You're both hurt. You can't take sole responsibility."

Parker grimaced. "He'll get over anything you said. And the sad... well, he'll get over that probably when you do. Eventually." She patted Rory's arm. "I get why you'd rather avoid him, though."
