The bleachers were set up in the park again, but the big screens were gone. Instead there were 20 large buckets in a circle, filled with a variety of liquids.

"Today every being will be on their own!" Anakin yelled through the megaphone. "We're playing a modified version of musical chairs! Last being standing wins! Please listen for your name:

Even if he tried, Prompto wouldn't have been able to wipe the grin off his face as he made he came striding up to the park with his best Zora prince buddy at his side because, sure, he'd told Nina that he was going to try to make it to a few of these Summer Shenanigans, but he didn't think she'd expect him to be pulling it off so soon. And the fact that he was able to get in touch with Sidon and drag him with him, too, just made it even better. He missed his big giant shark prince, dammit! This was going to be such a great day!

Duke was on his second large (spiked) coffee of the day. And only here after being herded away from his boat by woodchucks and chucked wood.

He huddled on the bleachers and hoped against hope he wasn't somehow on Anakin's stupid list.

Nina was here, because of course she was, but she was also dubiously eyeing the whole set up.

Two Three ?? what is time idk weeks was hardly anything time-wise to a Zora, but who was Sidon to argue when Prompto texted him and pointed out that it had been forever (according to a human, he supposed!) since they were on the island, and wouldn't it just be grand ('grand' was not the terminology Prompto had used, actually, it had been something more like 'dope af') if they were to make a sudden and random appearance just in time for the Wednesday activity? Sidon had to admit, he thought it was a truly marvelous, and was more than happy to hop down to the portal he'd left open to Zora's Domain to wind up on the island just in time to rendevous with Prompto's portal from Insomnia.

It really did feel great to be back, and he was incredibly excited to see what shenanigans were in store for them today! Why, he might even get to meet a few new people and do some introductions while he was at it, too! Magnificent!!

Ohhhh, this one looked like it could be a good one, and, most importantly, no gremlins! So Amaya was getting herself geared up and giving the appropriate glances across the crowd toward Diaz because obviously they were going to fight tooth and nail to beat each other, only she listened to the names, waiting for her own, only to...not have heard it?

So...maybe she wouldn't be fighting tooth and nail to beat Diaz this time around, after all.

Oh, well! She shrugged. It was no matter to her, because now she could at least keep her boots on, find herself the biggest meat on a stick that the vendors had to offer, find a seat in the audience, and just cheer some people on.

Wayne wasn't sure if it was intentional or not that his name wasn't among those called to participate in this week's activity, but he certainly wasn't going to complain. Because all that meant was that he could go ahead and keep his boots on, find himself one of the biggest meats on a stick he could find from the vendors, find a place to sit and enjoy the show, and cheer some people on.

And experience the strangest sense of deja vu.

When she realized that she'd missed something last week at the park, Tisarwat made sure not to make the same mistake again twice!

The jury was still very much out on whether she would regret this.

Why had Stark come back for more? Who knows. Last week had been odd and this week looked to be even moreso. But there were snacks and he rarely turned down free food.

You'd better believe that Astrid was glad that she hadn't even made it past the first round. It had nothing to do with getting her feet dirty; that she didn't mind at all. But the opportunity to just sit there and sketch everyone's reactions as they discovered what buckets they'd found or as they found themselves bucketless was just too good to not enjoy.

Round One

Everyone stand around the buckets! They have lots of different liquids in them, including water, ice, red squishy, chocolate pudding, pickles in brine, soda, slime, and cake batter.

"I will play the music," Anakin said. "When I stop, you need to jump into a bucket of liquid! There are 8 fewer buckets than there are participants because no one wants to RP 27 rounds of this. If you don't have a bucket, you are out and you may step away from the game. I am assuming there are no questions, so let's play the music!"

The need to win was really fighting against the need to not put her feet in nastiness.

"At least the music is good," Tahani commented as she walked in a circle, waiting for Anakin to stop the song and hoping that she didn't end up in a vat of something horrible like pickle juice.

The music ended, she jumped into the nearest bucket and groaned. "Tahini. Of course it is."

Round Two

Anakin took away five buckets of...substances, bringing the circle smaller.

"Now we'll lose five additional players," he declared, turning the music back on.

How was the Thong Song so long. How.

Anakin took five more buckets away. "And now we're down to 15," he said. "At the end of this round, it'll be ten!"

He turned a new song on. "Listen for the music to stop!"

Duke was doing his absolute best by now to aim for the bucket with water in it. The oatmeal and whatever was in the first one was drying between his toes.

He ended up with pickle brine. Because of course he did.

"Final ten," Anakin said, taking three more buckets away. "Try not to trip people too obviously."

"We're now down to seven," Anakin said, grinning at those left as he took two more buckets away. "Only two rounds to go. It would be a shame to lose now, wouldn't it?"

Though the incentive to stay there wasn't high as the buckets had gotten kinda gnarly and his choice of song was now Barbie Girl.

"Oooh!" Summer, her eyes lighting up, thought she finally found a bucket that looked like it probably had jello in it, so, out of a desperate hope to make some ridiculous detail about her personality even more ridiculous, she started to head straight for it.

This was it! This was her bucket! It was destiny!

FINAL FIVE

Anakin took away two more buckets, leaving chocolate pudding, red squishy, and the ice behind as choices.

"Almost done," he promised, turning Barbie Girl back on.

Oh, now this truly was thrilling! Though there was a good chance that Sidon had made it thus far merely on the virtue of his size (it was, after all, a bit difficult to mow down a Zora who had very clearly somehow gotten taller since graduation), he had to admit, he was absolutely amazed he had made it this far! Perhaps it was because he had no aversion to wet things, and his competitors thus far had been so great, and, perhaps, if he just kept going, he could even win this thi--

--Sidon blinked a moment as he realized he'd been so wrapped up in the excitement of being in the final five, that he very much had let the final three pass him right by before he even realized it had begun!

And to that, he could only let out a hearty laugh.

"Well, all good things do come to an end eventually!" he declared. "Well played!" He threw a wink to the remaining competitors. "And may the best bucket-jumper win!"

Last Round

"Congratulations to our finalists: Cait, Rosa, and Lucille," Anakin said, leaving only the bucket of chocolate pudding behind. "May the best being win!"

Or whoever could stand to listen to Barbie Girl for this long because Anakin was reaaaaaaaaally drawing this round out.

Was Rosa still a little surprised she'd bothered making it this far? Yes, a little. But she also knew herself and her competitive nature, and you better believe she was sizing up Hot Goth Neighbor and Weird Stuffed Cat and there was no chance in hell she was going to let herself lose to either of them as she made a rush for the bucket.
