How did Lucifer manage to pair that bright grin with a look that read please stay at the agreed-upon distance? "Welcome to our crime scene."

... They were in the Danger Shop, yes, made up to look like the intersection in front of Lucifer's new house. There was a body on the ground, on the steps of the Post Office, and the wreckage of a rickshaw just a few feet away, in front of Fast Eddie's.

"Today is the first of our classes on observation. Observe the crime scene."

A long pause.

"... Well, go on, observe the crime scene. Do I have to do everything around here?"

You could, presumably, at least try to give them some kind of sense what they should be looking for, Lucifer.

He did not.

There's an upturned rickshaw on one side, and a body on the other...

The Body

Appears to be a young man with tanned skin. His blond hair is covered in blood, hailing from some wounds at his temple. Cause of death?

... Look closer, rifle through his outfit, and you'll find a bullet wound embedded in his side. He has a lighter and two roll-ups in one pocket of his jacket, and an aspirin and a phone in his other pocket. It's an expensive-looking iPhone.

The Rickshaw

Is definitely upside down. There's damage on the front, consistent with where it might have hit something. There's a hole in the protective covering near the passenger seat, too. Could it be because it hit something and catapulted a body onto the street, perhaps?

Unless, of course, you can tell that that is nowhere near the amount of damage you'd see on a vehicle like this if it had actually crashed into an object that would've sent someone flying. A few feet away, two footprints lead towards the city.

Of course, you'd have to remember to check for some...

Well, the first thing Prompto was going to take care of was checking the scene for any murdered kids, but once that was clearly not a concern, he took out his camera and started shooting pictures. Of the rickshaw first. He was feeling maybe he should have gotten the body first, just to get it over with, because yuck, but he instead decided to try and build himself up to it.

But pictures seemed like a good idea, since if you still wound up stumped, maybe you could go over them and notice something you hadn't noticed at the time of investigating the scene. Or you could totally dramatically enhance the image to reveal something new as if it totally actually worked ou tthat way!

Tip was not rifling through the body's outfit. She was pretty sure you were supposed to wear gloves when investigating a crime scene, and she didn't have any.

She was poking at it with a pen, though. She had one of those.

"Yo creepy teacher," Eleanor called out from the street. "Normally the next step in a crime tv show would be to go into the post office and ask questions. However I've been banned for life on entering a post office. I won't get busted will I?"

"We're in a computer simulation. Of course not," Lucifer tsked. "Speaking of which, you've got some moxy with the iPhone, and you're making a head start on our class about acceptable evidence sampling, but this is a simulation and bringing that with you is futile."

Lucifer made an exasperated noise. "No, you strange, feeble-minded creature," he said. "There was a murder. Obviously."

And then she went back to try and break into the phone.

After getting clarification from her teacher, Eleanor spent the next couple of minutes trying to get into the phone to see if there was anything worthwhile there.

That post office was a siren call for her. But she resisted. At least until she could see if this guy had a tinder profile or something.
