What a beautiful, non-weird day at the park it was!

Shame Anakin was going to ruin that for everyone, huh?

"Right!" he yelled through the megaphone. "Today we have a new and fun team-building game where you will be in groups of four!"

How thrilling!

"You will get matching socks for greater teambuilding!"

...sure?

"And put your feet up in the air so I may rest a bucket on them!"

Anakin, what.

"The first team to remove all of the socks from their feet without dropping the contents of the bucket on themselves wins!"

Anakin, you totally made this game up, didn't you.

"Listen for your names! And no use of special powers to win."

Sorry, folks.

So Team Anakin Face isn't alone in having a person on their feet!

Anakin placed a bucket in the middle of your feet as you lay on your backs in the grass with them up in the air. The goal is for each team member to remove both socks while not spilling the contents of the bucket all over everyone.

The RNG declares the order of bucket-tipping-onto-everyone-ness to be:

1. Team Delicate Flower (Shunsui's fault, somehow. The bucket is full of slime.)
2. Team Tacosaurus (Okuyasu's fault! The bucket is full of cold potato chowder.)
3. Team Frida Kahlo (Beaker's fault because the RNG knows what's up, and the bucket is full of kombucha (because Anakin bought it having no idea what it was).)

making Team Anakin Face the winner.

And be glad that your bucket of fruit punch (really, Anakin?) didn't spill on you!

Though he will probably not answer the pressing question of "why did you buy socks with your own face on them?"

I might have entirely too much fun with this each summer.

Sparkle was here mostly because it was a great distraction from the fact that his fish had gone missing.

His fish and all the fish in the tank he shared with Hernando, and he was mildly (seriously) distraught about this.

There had been a sobbing phone call to Leto about it.

Sparkle really, really loved his fish, okay? So this was his activity of choice to help him cope.

".... I'm keeping these socks."

They were amazing.

Socks on the feet! Feet in the air! This kind of game was the sort of absolute stupidity that Sparkle needed in his life, today.

"Did anybody see what was in the bucket before it went up there?"

He should've thought about that before, maybe.

"... This might be more creepy than that bullshit place with the smoke."

Fjord did not appreciate these socks, Anakin.

Socks on, feet up!

Feet up...not nearly as high as everyone else's.

Hmmm. He pulled a ray gun from his lab coat. Time to try out the Enbiggenator! Surely this will end well!

This was what you got when you teamed a half-orc guy up with three human ladies.

"Isn't the point that we don't?" Okuyasu said, completely missing the intent. "We're supposed to take them off."

"I'm gonna take them off," Sparkle clarified, "and then pocket them."

Because they were beautiful and brought him joy.

Nina was now two weeks in a row having forgotten to sign up for the shenanigans but given the activity, she wasn't feeling too bad about it.

For one, this did not sound like a very easy activity to remain ladylike in and, like, she didn't want everyone to see her underthings while she lay on her back with her feet in the air…

For another, this was going to make an absolutely fantastic video to send to the guys in Insomnia.

She was super not sorry for getting this on video, Prompto. Super duper not sorry, especially as he got covered in slime.

Jack was bored and feeling social-ish. She went to see what fresh new hell Anakin was inflicting on people this week.

She saw the socks. She cackled so hard she had to sit down and wipe the tears away. "Fjord, if you don't want your socks, I will pay cash for them when you're done."

Because come on! Anakin face socks?! Anakin had bought socks with his own face on them for other people to wear? "Oh man. I need those. I need to find if there's matching boxers."

You're welcome.

Socks? SOCKS?!? Shunsui had already been on the fence about coming to another one of these things; they had been nothing but work so far, and far too much work for the benefit, but he thought maybe, just maybe, this week might not be so bad. The island was back to normal, so hopefully far less things to have to jump and run on and hit, and he'd gotten a little taste of one side certain inciting rivalry between the aptly-named Rosa-chan, with her radiant beauty with all those thorns underneath, and her much more enigmatic rival. He'd hoped perhaps today might allow him to get the other half...or make more progress with the first.

But being expected to wear socks might be where he needed to draw a line. He had eschewed and refused to wear socks for as long as he could remember, much to the chagrin of his fellow Shinigami, and if anyone thought he'd start now, well...!

...but then Shunsui actually saw the socks.

"...awwww ♥," he said, beaming at them. "Delicate fucking flowers for our delicate fucking toesies ♥!"

Maybe the socks weren't so bad after all.
