The Library is Open, 3/22 (Wednesday)

Zero has decided to actually do library-related work today. Wonder of wonders. She opens up the library promptly and sets to work, after setting out a box of danishes from Jeff, God of Biscuits and a carafe of coffee behind the collections desk where no one but official library personnel can get to them. She'll be here all day.

((I, however, will probably not be on until late afternoon/eveningish, so I thought I'd better get this up now so people can use the library throughout the day.))

"Long. And it's only third period. Two classes to go! I bet it's going to be fun," Peter said.

"Sorry to hear it," Parker said with sympathy. "Are you feeling okay, though?"

"Yeah. And I've been watching samples for the past few days. I'm positive that I'm at least stabilized. No ravenous man-spider thing in my future as far as I can tell," Peter said. "Now I just have to figure out a way to get back to normal."

"Watching samples?" Parker cocked an eyebrow, then drawled, "Petey? Are you a science whiz and you didn't tell me?"

"Never came up in conversation," Peter said, shrugging. "I don't have any decent equipment, though. I am hoping to get into the science department at Empire State University for college, though."

"Ah. That's impressive, I take it?" Parker smiled, then rolled her eyes. "I hate to bring up the doctor thing again, but diagnosing yourself-- that's not the best plan ever, you know."

"Very impressive," Peter said. "I just have to get back on the science path in the fall."

"And I'm not self-diagnosing. I was just watching samples for any changes. No changes means that I can probably stop worrying about transforming further and focus on getting back to normal."

"Good for you." Parker's mouth quirked, then she sobered. "That *sounds* good, but a second opinion-- *any* second opinion-- is probably a good idea, don't you think? And you still need some help on that 'getting back to normal'."

"My first opinion is fine for the time being," Peter said. "Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything stupid. No mixing formulas on my own or anything. But if you have any help to offer, I won't refuse it."

"I'll keep my eyes open. I'd suggest a trip into Special Collections for something magic, but I wouldn't even know where to start. SC likes to turn people in to cats, I'd hate to think what it would do to you with the spider-thing already an issue. I'll look if you want me to, though." She shook her head. "I saw Isabel last night, she said she was going to stop by with food?"

"Between this and the Skeeter thing last week, I'm done with the transformation stuff for a while," Peter said. "And don't worry about it. I don't want to get into magic stuff unless we can get someone who knows what they're doing." Peter smiled. "See? I'm not being stupid."

"Isabel did stop by and there was food. It was much appreciated."

"I'm glad to see it," Parker said dryly. "And as long as you take care of yourself, I won't nag. I swear. I just-- it's worrying, you know?"

"I definitely know how worrying it is. I'm the one who just went through some kind of crazy transformation after all," Peter said. "I appreciate the concern, though."
