Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 19, Period 1, 03.21.06

[OOC: Yay! Project! A more detailed OOC explanation of the project will be coming late this afternoon. Just work on developing your own theory based on cartoons for now. Groups announced in OCD threads. Metaphor and EC ~~will be posted later as well~~ are finally up. Class Info Post.]

The Tick was at the front of the room as always. Lockheed was givig hopeful glances to Cameron from his normal book shelf.

"Hello, students! Today you will be starting on your big project for the semester. It's actually pretty simple. I'll split you into groups of two. Each group will figure out a theory - any theory - about how Justice works. Take Parker's Darwinist view of Justice, for example (well, don't take it, it's hers). Once you have a theory worked out, you'll be using any of these ~~cartoons~~ documentaries on my desk to showcase the theory."

"Pending Professor Mac's approval ~~which I totally forgot to get beforehand, oops~~, I'd like to use the Danger Shop to showcase these theories at life size and see if they hold true. Your theories and how they apply to the documentaries are due two weeks from today."

"This project is all about teaming up with someone and compromising on your views of Justice, so get into your groups and get to talking!"

"This weeks metaphor is lightbulbs. And this week's extra credit is to devise a battlecry for your project partner!"

Cameron enters the class. Not only is he wearing the black superhero costume, he's always carrying a bag with chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, twinkies, ho-ho's, muffins, gum, candy bars and some other candy.

Lockheed looked at Cameron hopefully. He wanted his bribe from detention!

Cameron moved closer to the closet where Lockheed was sitting. "Yo, buddy. I got something for you," he said as he held up the bag.

Lockheed gleed.

"Uh, where do you want me to put it?" He asked.

Lockheed pointed to Tick's desk. It would be fine there.

Aeryn has no idea what's going on, but between the outfit and the possibility of John being a gay cowboy, she's writing today off completely.

"Yo," Cameron said when he noticed Aeryn watching and tried not to squirm because now he was getting nervous.

She gestures to the suit.

He can get embarrassed or just go with it. "You like?"

"I have no complaints, but... Is there a reason?"

Parker comes in ten minutes late, wearing no make-up and looking embarassed about both things, but she grins maniacally when she sees Cam. "Stand, walk, and turn, please. Lorelai does good work!"

"It's not because I'm wearing a uniform that I have to follow orders, Parkie." Cameron argues.

Parker pouted. "Awwww. Please? I just want to see! You said tasteful, I have to check, don't I?" She grinned and admired what was already visible, though.

He rolled his eyes and got to his feet and turned around for Parker. Jaye had seemed to like it well enough so he might as well.

Parker applauded. "Yay, Captain Costume! You are a good sport and a superhero, Cam. Thank you for playing!" She grinned. "Unless you want a cape too?"

Parker gets in ten minutes late, looking embarassed for it, wearing no make-up, but otherwise fine.

If you have a really perfect sense of fashion (probably you don't) you will notice that her Armani blue silk shirt is cut men's style. And that the leather jacket is also a mannish style, and maybe a shade too big for her.

If you have enhanced senses, however, you *will* smell that (a) Parker did not use her usual hair products or soap this morning, and (b) that jacket definitely belongs to some guy.

It's even odds whether you pick up on the cat hairs on the back of her slacks or not.

"Are you feeling okay?" asked Janet, peering at her curiously. Something seemed off.

"Yes?" Wait, what was giving her away? It had to be the make-up. Damnit! She'd been afraid she's smear it trying to apply it in the rickshaw, so she hadn't bothered. "I mean, yes. Just a little rushed. I got up late this morning, my alarm didn't go off." She cleared her throat. "How are you?"

Having worn a uniform to work for more than a few years, and then abandoning it in favor of mostly jeans and t-shirts meant that Janet's fashion sense was a little limited. But she did notice when someone wasn't wearing make-up, which she was an expert at. You had to do something to offset dress blues and lab coats. "Are you sure?" Janet frowned. "You didn't put on make-up this morning. Are you possessed?"

"I lost a bet," Parker blurted out, the same excuse she used when Esme was bunnynapped, and then rolls her eyes at herself, because what follows from that is: "So, no make-up for me today. Damnit."

Damnit!

Janet snickered. "You lost a bet? With who?" Maybe there would be photographic evidence of Parker doing something ridiculous. "I could swear you were possessed when you walked in here without makeup. You know how possessions are a dime a dozen in this school." She eyed Parker's shirt. Something was odd about it, but Janet couldn't place what.

Anakin was certainly not grinning at her during breaks in his conversation with Parker.

Nope. Not at all.
