Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 19, Period 1, 03.21.06

[OOC: Yay! Project! A more detailed OOC explanation of the project will be coming late this afternoon. Just work on developing your own theory based on cartoons for now. Groups announced in OCD threads. Metaphor and EC will be posted later as well are finally up. Class Info Post.]

The Tick was at the front of the room as always. Lockheed was givig hopeful glances to Cameron from his normal book shelf.

"Hello, students! Today you will be starting on your big project for the semester. It's actually pretty simple. I'll split you into groups of two. Each group will figure out a theory - any theory - about how Justice works. Take Parker's Darwinist view of Justice, for example (well, don't take it, it's hers). Once you have a theory worked out, you'll be using any of these cartoons documentaries on my desk to showcase the theory."

"Pending Professor Mac's approval which I totally forgot to get beforehand, oops, I'd like to use the Danger Shop to showcase these theories at life size and see if they hold true. Your theories and how they apply to the documentaries are due two weeks from today."

"This project is all about teaming up with someone and compromising on your views of Justice, so get into your groups and get to talking!"

"This weeks metaphor is lightbulbs. And this week's extra credit is to devise a battlecry for your project partner!"

Parker folded her arms, hoping that Janet wasn't going to notice which side the buttons were on, then deciding she could talk her way out of that. She was a fashionista, she could get away with a risk once in a while. "Jarod." Because anyone else, Janet would check with. "Something about--" Oh, god. What the hell would they bet on? What would she lose on? "Doesn't matter, I lost, the penalty is a day without make-up. He's weird." And at least he'd back her up on the story, once she told him. "And my only recent possession was during the damn play."

"I heard about that," said Janet. She grinned. "I'm sorry to say that I didn't get a chance to see it because the player was exhausted. So what did you bet on? Seriously, Parker, you may as well confess, since you got stuck without makeup for the day."

"Not gonna tell you." Parker made a face. "It's bad enough he wins, I'm not telling you about what." And maybe she'd have time to come up with something later, if she thought about it some more. "I'm just sad that he's not going to be wearing a costume like Cam's."

Okay, there's a mental image. Guh.

"Coward," said Janet, snickering. "So make another bet, and this time, rig it."

"What an absolutely delightful idea." A slow smile starts to form on Parker's face. "Hmmmmmmmmm."

"Whatever it is, I'm in on it," said Janet, distracted by the prospect of potentially embarrassing someone.

"As soon as I have a real plan, you'll be the second to know."
