Angela spends much of her day in the library flipping through something called The Complete Idiot's Guide to Psychic Phenomena and testing herself with the quizzes at the back.

She looks kind of cranky at the results she's getting.

In any case, she's there to help with all your library-type needs.

Parker came in after second, just to help out for a while. She's moderately annoyed that she left her play script in the park with Jarod.

"Hey Parker," Angela said. "Have you ever heard of Zener cards?"

"They're used to test for psychic abilities, aren't they? Telepathy, precognition...." Sydney had used them on some of the twins at the Centre. "Why do you ask?"

"The book I'm reading," Angela answered. "I'm thinking I should get some to work on my psychic stuff. Which is probably stupid, but it can't hurt, right?"

She shoved the book to the side. "So how are things?"

"No, it can't hurt. A friend used to do tests with those. They worked better with people who were related, or very close, for whatever that's worth." Parker made a face. "Fine. Mostly. Better than yesterday. Although I have to kill Rita Skeeter. Doesn't that woman have a life? I mean, I know she's losing her mind, but still...."

"What did she do this time? Other than spend an entire broadcast imitationg half the people we know."

"Mentioned the damn kiss. Thank you, Skeeter. Like apologizing isn't going to be weird enough, without any extra embarassment from that hanging over the conversation." She sighed. "I just hope Jarod doesn't listen to the radio."

Angela looked a little embarassed. "Right. Sorry, I kind of mostly listen for my own name."

"So you still haven't called him?" she asked. "It's up to you, but ... dunno. It might be, like, exponentially weirder, the longer you wait."

"I didn't want to call him at Caritas, and then it was late and... yeah, I had no idea what to say. So. Tonight. He's on duty at the Sin, he gets bored." She rubbed her eyes. "Whatever this conversation may be, I doubt 'boring' is the first word that comes to mind." She grinned slightly. "I listen for my name, any of my friends embarassing themselves, and things that may inspire further revenge. I am living in fear of what John will do *now*."

Angela's eyes sparkled. "I told you my theory about him and Skeeter, right?"

"Nooooo....?" Parker leaned forward, looking interested.

Angela lowered her voice. "Okay. So Sketter is, like, going out of her way to turn John -- only John -- into animals, right? And Crichton is making a huge effort to keep annoying her."

"It almost sounds like they liiiiiiiike each other. Which is almost sweet, except for her being all married and old."

"Oh, yuck!" Parker said, her expression delighted. "You're a genius, you know that? I so have to mention that to John-boy the next time I see him."

"Do. I have to talk to him about it too," Angela said. "It would really be sad if, like, they deny their feelings just 'cause she's a little older and a teacher."

"I haven't had anything good to tease Crichton with in weeks. And I didn't want to, while Aeryn was gone. This is great!" She sobered, and said, "I mean, sad. Forbidden love, when all that keeps them apart is his craziness and her being ancient. Love should fly free!"

"It's like it says in the play, the course of true love never did run smooth," Angela said philosophically.

Her expression turned a fraction more serious. "How is Aeryn doing with being back, by the way? I never see her."

Parker smirked at the idea of Skeeter and John as True Love, then looked more thoughtful. "I think it's rough on her, really. I saw her last night at the contest, and I get the impression she's trying to fit in again, but... whatever happened while she was back home, she's not happy about it."

Angela bit her lower lip. "I'm sorry to hear that," she said. "I don't know Aeryn well, but you don't like people to be unhappy, you know?"

"No. But I don't think there's anything anyone can do about this. Aeryn's not exactly the type to ask for help unless her arm's being cut off." Parker sighed. "Hopefully she'll get past it in a while. I'm sure John is helping in his inimitable and utterly insane way."

"Not if he's cheating on her with Skeeter," Angela said lightly. "And yeah, time usually helps, most stuff."
