School Auditorium: MSND Rehearsal (1-5 p.m. FST)

All members of the production got an email this morning telling them to report to the auditorium at 1 p.m. EST to rehearse acts I and II and the "extra" bits of the play. When they gather, they will find Dream sitting on the bare stage, looking rather impatient.

"You are here to rehearse the play. I believe you can manage that. If you are playing the Tooth Fairy,
Steve Austin, Jaime Sommers, Lobster, Drunken Pirate, Kickass Ninja or Chuck Norris, please report to the orchestra pit to discuss your roles with me. Otherwise, read through Acts I and II in their entirety."

That said, Dream moves to the orchestra pit and takes a seat. He may be waiting for the student directors to join him.

"Oh, good," Molly said as she made her way over to them. "I was worried we weren't going to be fairies anymore."

Parker nodded, rolling her eyes. "None of the other fairies are here, and Oberon is late, damn his eyes. Of course you can watch." Parker grinned at Molly. "Do you want to run Hermia's lines for a while?"

Molly looked at Nadia. "Well, Nadia's here. She can run her own lines and I could do someone else's." She looked at the script. "I could read Lysander's lines instead."

"I'm good with whatever. Parker and I were just bored sitting around."

Lana paused then looked a little mischievious. "Or we could always do dueling Hermias and Helenas."

Nadia grinned. "That could be fun. Or I could be the lobster." Nadia made "claws" out of her hands and snapped them a few times at Lana.

"Lobster?" Lana said looking confused. "Sure, I guess. And just what part does the lobster play in the girls' little non-lovefest?"

"I don't know, but the cast list said 'lobster', so it has to show up somewhere, right?"

Lana looked a little bemused. "That's right," she said. "I'd forgotten the strange add-on characters. I wonder what they *are* going to do with them."

"Oh! and speaking of things I forgot. Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't make your party. I went to take a nap and didn't wake up till this morning."

"Trust me, that's more than okay. But thanks." Nadia glanced around. She didn't know a whole lot about lobsters other than that they had claws and looked like big red bugs. "I need . . . ." she held her fingers by her forehead to indicate antenae. "Thingies. To be a lobster."

"She does. But we also need a Lysander." Parker looked over at Xander and grinned. "Oh look. Close enough. Ohhhh, Xannnnderrrrrrr...."

Molly is a little confused now. "So, am I reading Hermia then? If Xander comes, we'll have one too many people."

"You be Hermia, Molly. I'll stand over here and be a Greek soldier, or one of the senators," Parker said, grinning. "And he hasn't got a choice. Ohhh, Xander," she cooed, "Get your ass over here, bucko."

Xander, sitting in the front row with his feet propped on the stage, didn't move. "Why exactly do my ass and I not have a choice?"

"Because we need a guy, and Blair is MIA, and I'm saying please?" She stalked to the apron, then grinned down at him. "Be a sport. Let Nadia be a lobster. Isn't she cute like that?" She cocked a threatening eyebrow at him. It was a toss-up about whether she'd go down there and physically drag him onstage, if you were looking at her face.

Molly steped up next to Parker. "Please, Xander? I need a Lysander," she told him with her best puppy dog expression.

"Ooo, maybe Xander can be both." Nadia shot a lobster!puppy-dog look at her big brother. "Pleeeeeease Xander?"

"Parker's been teaching you the mean and evil act, hasn't she." And yet Xander was setting his laptop aside and scrambling up onto the stage. He couldn't decide if it was the lobster antennae or the fact that Parker had actually uttered the word please.

Oh, it was the lobster antennae, alright. No one could resist the antennae.

"A Greek chorus, *with* lobster," she said sotto voce. "Only in fandom."
