School Auditorium: MSND Rehearsal (1-5 p.m. FST)

All members of the production got an email this morning telling them to report to the auditorium at 1 p.m. EST to rehearse acts I and II and the "extra" bits of the play. When they gather, they will find Dream sitting on the bare stage, looking rather impatient.

"You are here to rehearse the play. I believe you can manage that. If you are playing the Tooth Fairy,
Steve Austin, Jaime Sommers, Lobster, Drunken Pirate, Kickass Ninja or Chuck Norris, please report to the orchestra pit to discuss your roles with me. Otherwise, read through Acts I and II in their entirety."

That said, Dream moves to the orchestra pit and takes a seat. He may be waiting for the student directors to join him.

"I'll stick with the thingies." And Nadia wanders off to find 'thingies'.

And comes back, having located pipe cleaners.

Molly is a little confused now. "So, am I reading Hermia then? If Xander comes, we'll have one too many people."

"You be Hermia, Molly. I'll stand over here and be a Greek soldier, or one of the senators," Parker said, grinning. "And he hasn't got a choice. Ohhh, Xander," she cooed, "Get your ass over here, bucko."

Xander, sitting in the front row with his feet propped on the stage, didn't move. "Why exactly do my ass and I not have a choice?"

"Because we need a guy, and Blair is MIA, and I'm saying please?" She stalked to the apron, then grinned down at him. "Be a sport. Let Nadia be a lobster. Isn't she cute like that?" She cocked a threatening eyebrow at him. It was a toss-up about whether she'd go down there and physically drag him onstage, if you were looking at her face.

Molly steped up next to Parker. "Please, Xander? I need a Lysander," she told him with her best puppy dog expression.

"So am I still Helena? And do I get a Demetrius?" Lana asked with a grin.

"Ooo, maybe Xander can be both." Nadia shot a lobster!puppy-dog look at her big brother. "Pleeeeeease Xander?"

"Parker's been teaching you the mean and evil act, hasn't she." And yet Xander was setting his laptop aside and scrambling up onto the stage. He couldn't decide if it was the lobster antennae or the fact that Parker had actually uttered the word please.

"What mean and evil act?" asked Nadia, the perfect picture of innocense and light.

Oh, it was the lobster antennae, alright. No one could resist the antennae.

"Wonderful!" Parker punched a hand upward in victory, grinning. "Helena? I mean, Lana? You were at 'The more I love, the more he hateth me.' Molly? You ready?"

Parker perched on top of chair, and tried to look sober and senatorial. The grin probably didn't help.

"Yup!" Molly said.

"Yes, right, sorry," Lana said with a smile at everyone.

She turned to Molly and looked woebegone. "The more I love, the more he hateth me."

Molly gave Lana a sad look. "His folly, Helena, is no fault of mine."

Lana's look turns to one of anger, "None, but your beauty: would that fault were mine!"

Molly's look turned to one of encouragement and she petted Lana on the arm. "Take comfort: he no more shall see my face; Lysander and myself will fly this place. Before the time I did Lysander see, Seem'd Athens as a paradise to me: O, then, what graces in my love do dwell, That he hath turn'd a heaven unto a hell!"

Suddenly remembering Nadia, Molly spoke again quickly before Xander could read his line. "And, uh, I'll leave my pet lobster for you too."

All Nadia could think of that lobsters did was crawl slowly in tanks and look depressed because their claws were wrapped with rubber bands. That wouldn't do at all.

Well, her lobster would do something ineteresting. She just had to think of what.

She heard Molly mention her, and snapped her "claws" at people and made an odd, lobsterish noise.

Did lobsters make noise?

Well. They did now.

Did manly men giggle at girls making lobster noises?

Well. They did now. Especially when there were pipecleaners involved.

"Helen, to you our minds we will-- hee." *snicker* "Enf-- heeeeee."

Parker was chortling so hard she was nearly choking. "Heheheheheheh..."

Encouraged by the laughter, Nadia made the lobster noise louder.

What does a lobster noise sound like?

Use your imagination.

She clacked her "claws" at Xander and Parker, and nearly cracked up into giggles as well.

Lana, as Helena, frowned at them. "She's my lobster, now! Don't laugh at her!"

And then giggled herself.

It was too late for Molly to try and stop laughing. She was clutching her stomach from laughing so hard.

This makes lobster!Nadia sad. She loves her Hermia. She doesn't want to belong to a new person!

Nadia made sad lobster noises. How she managed to keep a straight face while she did this is a secret. She's a future spy, after all.

It is a near thing, though.

Lana mock-pouted and gingerly petted her lobster on the antenna. "It'a alright," she said, "No one loves me

Lobster!Nadia felt bad for her new owner. So she made comforting lobster noises and clacked her "claws".
