Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Face was glittery and shirtless as he wandered the picnic.

Because the squirrels had asked him to, again.

"Nope," Face replied, preening just a little, because he knew he looked good in glitter. "All my shirts are accounted for."

"So the squirrels tell me," Face said. "And they're not the type to lie."

Get things wrong and exaggerate maybe.

"Didn't your big sib tell you about them?" Face asked. "They're nosy, get in everything, steal all the rum."

Face was from another planet, it wasn't like he knew how normal squirrels behaved.

Cassandra would have commented as she had last time, but, well. Some things had changed.

So instead she would be standing over here with her helmet under her shoulder, looking equal parts pleased and very, very red.

Did Cassandra mind the idea of glitter on her armour? Because Face was going for the hug.

In most cases, yes. In this one, she would ignore it.

Cassandra wrapped her arms carefully around him (because it would be rather awkward if she crushed him with the armour) and hugged him back. "Garik."

"You're back," Face said, redundantly. "Someone should probably warn Anders."

"I have already spoken to him," Cassandra said. She was smiling. Not because of Anders. "I followed the same channels we made use of to return you here."

She hoped her fellow Seekers had at least captured the mage by now. Her life would be vastly easier if someone would finally corroborate her tales.

"Since you're both still here, I assume that means you're staying for a while?" Face asked.

Because he totally wanted to spend more time with Anders, yep, that was it.

"You sparkle," Alluka said admiringly.

She was admiring the glitter, not the shirtlessness.

"Are there more sparkles somewhere?"

"I got mine from the squirrels," Face told her helpfully. Those glitter flags didn't make themselves. "They'll probably share if you ask them."

"I've never managed to see one of them," she admitted. "But maybe I'll try again, if they've got sparklies."

"I wonder if Kathy'd help me get rum," Alluka mused. "Or Mabel!"

Mabel was more likely, especially since it meant glitter.

A beat.

"Is rum hard to get?"

"You can get some at the bar." Face, no. "But make sure you go to Caritas, not the other one."

"You, um, seem to have something on you," Ringo said, trying not to snicker too openly.

She probably wasn't fooling anyone.

"Um." Ringo wrinkled her nose as if she was concentrating on her answer. "On your shoulder?" And lots of other places, too.

"I don't know," Ringo mused. "Maybe whoever stole your clothes did it."

Yeah. She'd kind of noticed that part, too.
