Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy.

All of the tables had some blue and gold glitter scattered across them, because there was always enough to go around. This school certainly was blesesed in all the right ways.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Face had been more than happy to be jumped.

Likewise, he was more than happy to return the kiss.

Cassandra pulled back after rather more time than she would admit to. "I should return my armor to my room," she said. "This is hardly gear for a reunion."

"Well, it certainly stands out," Face agreed, rather than say anything about taking off the armour out here.

He just thought that instead.

She took a step back and glanced at Garik's... "You've been talking to the squirrels again."

Face nodded. "They were so sad about the lack of glitter," he said. "You should have seen their little faces."

"And I am certain you simply did it out of the kindness of your heart," Cassandra said, but her criticism was somewhat tempered with grudging affection.

"That's me, I'm a giver."

Face, she was wearing armour, it was going to hurt when she hit you.

Cassandra sighed loudly and brushed glitter from her vambrace. Demonstratively.

"Which would be my cue to change the subject," Face said. "Do you have any plans for the rest of the day?"

Cassandra smiled a tiny smile at him. "I do not," she said.

Face grinned. "Well, I'm thinking it might be nice to have dinner from something other than a buffet."

That smile was not going to go anywhere. Most people who knew Cassandra would be very confused. "I believe you are right," she said. "Though you may wish to find a shirt before that time."

"Most places on the island do seem to frown on shirtlessness at dinner," Face agreed. "Glitter too."

"I am glad you are willing to recognize that fact," Cassandra said wryly. She looked towards the picnic. "When shall we meet?"

And was he bringing flowers again?

Of course there'd be flowers, but not candles, because that would require much more planning.

"Maybe about six," Face suggested. "That gives us plenty of time to eat as well as some sun to get back to the dorms."

"That seems agreeable."

Cassandra let out a little sigh. "Then I may be able to convince myself that returning here wasn't a brief attack of madness."

"I'm not sure spending time with me's going to convince you you're not mad," Face said. "But at least you'll enjoy it."

Cassandra may have blushed. Again. "We... will see about that tonight," she said.

"Tonight then," Face said, leaning in to try and steal another kiss.

He didn't need to steal it. It was freely given, and happily so.
