"Oh, right," Rory nodded. "Well, she's not in, as far as I know. But I also haven't been looking for her, so...."

"Well, if you see her, tell her I said hi. Or if you don't see her, but she's actually just out of sight and invisible or something. You know, kind of a figurative 'see'," Peter babbled.

"Um. Are you okay?"

It seemed to be a day for asking that.

"Yeah, of course. Just midterms, you know? Slightly frazzled." Yeah. That's what had him frazzled. Sure.

"Speaking of which, I finished up my profile of you for Skeeter's class. I don't have to worry about that, at least."

"Uh huh," Rory said slowly. And then she remembered what she had heard on the radio, and grinned. "Ohhhh. Right."

"Um, and that's good. When's it due, tomorrow?"

"What's with the grin?" Peter asked, slightly worried.

"Yeah, it's due tomorrow. And then I also have a Government exam. I wonder if it'll be proctored by the Muppet eagle."

"I think it's cute, that's all. But don't worry, I'm not Jaye. I won't announce it on the radio," Rory said, still grinning. "Muppet eagle? What's a Muppet?"

"Well, you're not on the radio, so that would be tought for you to do," Peter said, smirking. "But there's nothing for you to really grin about right now. She's just nice to talk to."

"And I overheard someone call Sam the Eagle a Muppet. He's a talking, fuzzy eagle guy. Kinda short. Scary, scary eyebrows. Well, unibrow. Also not a really good teacher."

"Uh huh." Rory said. "And I've been on the radio a few times. I used to do these StuCo reports, when I was on StuCo and it didn't suck. And over Christmas break, a bunch of us used Bridgey's dog to broadcast. So it could totally happen."

"And...eek. Why is he a bad teacher? We had the Campaigning class from hell - and sadly, that's not exaggerating too much - today, but I didn't know how Professor Lyman's other classes were being handled."

"Hey. I'm on StuCo now," Peter said, taking offense.

"Well, his basic stance seems to be 'Government yay. Everything is great. Do everything the government says for it is great. Yay government.' Only he took the class period to say it and his sentences are a bit more boring and direct than that. Bit of a change from Lyman," Peter concluded. "Wait, what happened in Campaigning?"

"No, I know - it was good, then sucky last semester. And now it's good again," Rory amended.

"Um, Angel hired someone without checking out their background. And he was kind of not what we wanted," she said cryptically.

"Good. Because we're providing people with England. We must be good," Peter said.

"Um. What was this guy?" Peter was pre-cringing at the answer.

"England good," Rory nodded.

"Um. Vampire. Angel didn't know," she replied, also cringing and possibly just a little defensive.

"Whoops," Peter said while facepalming. "Did anything happen? Everyone was okay, I assume?"

"Yeah. We're all just sort of smacking Angel for being so dumb," Rory sighed. "But yay, first time I've spent time with a vampire who hasn't tried to hurt me. Other than Vladdie. So hooray for that."

"Hey, there's a bonus," Peter said. He was wondering how Angel worked into that statement, but decided not to question it. "And I don't know. I've always thought of Vladdie as dangerously cute. He could kill with an adorable look."

"He hasn't yet, though," Rory pointed out. "Though he has yet to meet anyone who hasn't liked him. Even the evil guys, seriously."

"Well, of course. He's Vladdie. That kind of fuzziness trascends good and evil. There's good, evil, and fuzzy," Peter said.

"I've said it before: we should send him and Sean over to the Middle East to negotiate peace," Rory said practically.

"That wouldn't work. Nothing would be agreed to because they'd be too busy watching puppytime," Peter reasoned.

"Yeah, but no fighting," Rory said.

"Until the puppies went away," Peter said.

"And it'd have to be indoors, anyway. Because of Vladdie."

"Very true. There's a lot of sun over there," Peter said.

"And piles of dust are not as cute as puppies," Rory said seriously.
