Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
The forecast for today might have called for rain, but thankfully, there was no sign of bad precipitation in Fandom. The weather was bright and sunny, but still a bit chilly, so the first thing people might have noticed when they arrived was the bonfire set up in the middle of the lawn. There were tables and chairs scattered around the bonfire, some a safer distance away than others, and each table had been graced with a good portion of gold and blue glitter because the glitter supply was never, ever going to run out and certain people in the administration had just come to terms with that.
There were tables ofmoddable food and drinks, complete with the ingredients to make s'mores, as well as name tags and the lists of Big Siblings and roommates. It was time to welcome some new people!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
There were nametags for everyone, and glanced over them, making note of a few before finding the Hrothbert of Bainbridge. It made him pause, but that letter had somehow worked, so... He tried and was delighted to find he could touch it. Well, maybe the sticky part was less delightful, but touching something!
He hopefully tried one or two of the others, but his hand continued going through them. Ah, well.
He wasn't going to bother being by the food or fire, for obvious reasons, but he was going to enjoy the feel of being outside, someplace still fairly new, and among people.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
//... Bob?//
Why not? Today had already been plenty eventful, why not Bob, too?
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
You know, after having just been possessed by Betelgeuse.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
Here was the surprising part. Jono really couldn't say he looked well if the man was dead, could he?
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
"So I am," he agreed. "Apparently, I'll be a teacher here now."
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
Okay, there were exceptions! But!
...
Shut up! Anyway, it was about as rude to tell somebody they looked tired, so Bob and Jono were on even footing, here.
//Well, that was unexpected,// he decreed. //Decide you liked it here that much, did you? What'll you be teaching?//
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
Bobhonest!"More like 'decided this place is woefully underprepared for trouble of the magical kind'," he answered, looking a bit disgusted. "I'll be trying to remedy that."
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
Did Jono sound amused by this? Jono definitely sounded amused by this.
//Have much experience with the students around here, yet?//
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
anymany yet, no," Bob answered. "I imagine they're as interesting as the adults, with the added complication of teenage hormones?"Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]

"Non corporeal?" She queried. "Do you need assistance?"
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Spring 2015]
He eyed Jones curiously for a moment; he didn't even bother with his usual flirting, given the feeling of age and distance he was getting from her. "Hrothbert of Bainbridge," he introduced himself with a little bow. "Although most these days call me Bob."

He shrugged. "Technically, I shouldn't even be able to be here. My curiosity is at war with not wanting to look the gift horse too far in the mouth," he confessed.
"Where is Gunnerkrigg Court? I'm not familiar with it."
