Kenzi was so looking forward to this, you don't even know.

So as people filed into the classroom, she pointed them to the various arts & crafts tables, printer, laminator, and huge Maryland I.D. billboard that she'd put together and printed out with a camera in front of it.

"Welcome to Choose Your Own Adventure!" She beamed. "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Toni Soprano." She flicked up a Canadian I.D. "At least according to this piece of plastic. According to this one, I'm Ninotchka Alexandrovich." It had a really convincing Russian sickle on it, too. "Now, for some of the things we're doing this semester, you're going to need a legit-looking piece of plastic of your own. So pick a birthday -- one that's before 1993, that'll help -- and if you don't know what that means, ask your neighbor." She paused. "Or me, after you do a couple tries."

"After, I'm going to the Horseshoe Casino here in Baltimore. If you don't know what a casino is or Baltimore is, you can ask when we're on the bus." She grinned, then added, "And you don't have to come with me! Or any of us! That's where the 'choice' thing comes in. But wouldn't it be a shame to make all these, and not see if they work?"

Raven definitely appreciated the break from introducing herself, this week, and though she could just as easily pick up any old ID and just turn herself into whomever was on it, inventing a whole new identity for herself from scratch seemed like fun, too.

"We should try to alter our look a little, maybe?" she mused. "No one actually looks just like they do on their ID card, right?"

"True, true. I mean, we can photoshop the color of your shirt or something, but maybe mess with your hair?" Kenzi grinned. "I know, this is almost too easy for you, but still, documentation, always useful."

Raven glanced around, then gave herself a pixie cut. "Usually I just pretend to be someone else," she said. "I don't usually get to make the person up entirely."

The Lokiskin caravans were a perfectly legal and accepted part of New Asgard life, and besides the fact that they didn't have absurd laws about things like drinking age, among them a girl was considered an adult once she was old enough to become a mother, and this sometimes carried over into society at large.

They were, however, still followers of the trickster god, which was to say: Vider had this under control.

However, she felt compelled to point out that, "This name would never be believable at home."

"How come?" Kenzi asked, leaning over to get a look at the name. "It's very freaking Nordic, but I'll cop to not knowing anything about the norm for Nordic names."

"I'm no man's son, or woman's either," Vider explained, "and while I could claim to be either of my parents' daughter," not that she would, but she could, technically, "more commonly one would expect someone with a berserker's mark to bear a berserker's name." Yes, she was referencing the facial tattoo.

Oh, shit. Sparkle already had a few of these things, but it wasn't like a few more could possibly hurt. He was already licking his hand and trying to tame his hair down a little for the photos. He'd wash his raccoon eyes off, too, before getting his picture taken. Just to be on the safe side. It wouldn't do to get busted with a fake ID with a face that actually stood out in a crowd, after all.

Sparkle aimed to please!

He also aimed to just dick around for this whole semester. So far he was doing well on both counts, apparently.

"What's wrong with Ivan? Ivan," Sparkle sniffed, looking faux-affronted as he crossed his arms over his chest, "is a perfectly respectable name, you know."

"You don't look like an Ivan," she informed him, after talking to... whatever her name was. The teacher. "Also has a fake ID ever saved your life while you were working for an underground rebellion against a non-righteous teacher?"

"I don't? I've got Russian blood," Sparkle replied, turning a smirk toward Karina. "And-- are we talking about Umbridge? That woman was fucking insane."

That was the nice way to put it.

"The ID wouldn't have done me any good, I kind of stand out in a crowd. Especially with all of the detention note scars I had on my arms through that..."

Sparkle might have spent a lot of detention drawing dicks out of spite.

"Why?"

"Oh my God," Karina muttered to herself as she surveyed... well... everything. "My parents are going to kill me."

She wasn't so sure she wasn't going to die by the end of this either, before her parents ever got a hold of her.

This was so illegal and it kind of made her skin crawl.

Emma was already lying about her age, but ironically enough the only problem that was putting her actual birthdate on the ID would make fake her unrealistically old.

Cecil was making an ID that looked more or less like his real one. Maybe if he put his current picture on it, people would believe it?

He was keeping his name, though. He wasn't sure he could handle being anyone else right now.

Cosette was . . . pretty lost, let's face it. She was adapting fairly well to modern technology, but this was a little beyond her current skill level.

Not that she was opposed to the idea itself! Her father would probably be appalled, and it was a good thing she didn't know how much of a pot-kettle scenario that would be or it would not be pretty when she called him on it.

Kaylin had never heard of these things, but she could see where they mght be useful to have. Beyond some struggling with the technology, she actually did a fairly decent job.
