Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
Whoever worked their magic to ensure that the welcome picnics had nice weather had cut their mojo very close this time around. The weather was lovely today - sunny and hot enough to make it clear that summer in Fandom had finally begun - but the overnight thunderstorms had left puddles all over the lawn that hadn't quite dried up yet.
Still, the tables and chairs had managed to be scattered around, along with the buffet table ofmoddable food and drinks, and the information table with name tags, the Big and Little Sibling list, and the list of new roommates. The only thing missing was people to enjoy the festivities!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: Meet Your Teachers [Summer 2013-1]
Anyone who was still looking up would see what appeared to be a large, black bat swooping toward the ground. But as it got ever closer, they might realize that it was a man. A man with a billowing, scalloped cape, who wasn't so much 'swooping' as he was 'falling with complete confidence and plenty of style.' As he came ever closer to the ground, he seemed to shoot a bat-like object from his hand, and it was attached to a cable. This bat-grapple caught a sturdy part of a tower on the school, and the caped crusader's fall was officially turned into a swing.
At a precisely timed moment, the grapple line was cut, letting the caped man fly through the air toward the teacher's area. As gravity took hold and brought him back toward the earth, the cape billowed once again until he landed in a crouch.
With his cape falling neatly over his shoulders and covering his gray and black costume, he slowly rose to his full height.
He was the Batman. And he liked to make flashy entrances.

A beat later, and she rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Bloody showoff."

"Nah," she rasped. "Just the only one making an arse of himself."
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Summer 2013-1]
"Find me some private jet parking and I'll be more discreet," Batman lied.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Summer 2013-1]
"Sure you will."

"I'm the fucking guidance counselor."
There was absolutely no reason to swear. That, in itself, was reason enough to do it.

"You don't want to know the awful things I can imagine," Batman said, mysteriously. "Did everyone make it?"

"I drive a hybrid," he shot back. "More fuel efficient."
SO THERE.

Thanks, WayneTech, for innovative technologies that aren't ready for the public, but could easily be used in a war on crime.
