Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whoever worked their magic to ensure that the welcome picnics had nice weather had cut their mojo very close this time around. The weather was lovely today - sunny and hot enough to make it clear that summer in Fandom had finally begun - but the overnight thunderstorms had left puddles all over the lawn that hadn't quite dried up yet.

Still, the tables and chairs had managed to be scattered around, along with the buffet table of moddable food and drinks, and the information table with name tags, the Big and Little Sibling list, and the list of new roommates. The only thing missing was people to enjoy the festivities!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Jack shook his head, as if he was about to say Batman didn't want to know, and proceeded to tell him anyhow. "Most of us woke up in a labyrinth a few weeks back," he explained. "If you can imagine something awful, it was probably behind one of the doors in it. Took the best part of a week to get us out."

Batman didn't ask any questions he didn't want to know the answers to.

"You don't want to know the awful things I can imagine," Batman said, mysteriously. "Did everyone make it?"

"Only because it was magic," Jack said unhappily. "We lost ... five, ten, something like that, but they all came back when we got out. And we didn't catch whoever was behind it. So that's reassuring."
