Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Whoever worked their magic to ensure that the welcome picnics had nice weather had cut their mojo very close this time around. The weather was lovely today - sunny and hot enough to make it clear that summer in Fandom had finally begun - but the overnight thunderstorms had left puddles all over the lawn that hadn't quite dried up yet.

Still, the tables and chairs had managed to be scattered around, along with the buffet table of moddable food and drinks, and the information table with name tags, the Big and Little Sibling list, and the list of new roommates. The only thing missing was people to enjoy the festivities!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Oh, she could tell. She looked obnoxiously smug about it, too.

"I'm the fucking guidance counselor."

There was absolutely no reason to swear. That, in itself, was reason enough to do it.

"Only feel sorry for the ones who aren't equipped to learn what I have to teach," Batman said.

Electroclash raised her eyebrows, like that meant absolutely nothing to her. "Which is...?"

"You live here, don't you?" Batman asked. "I trust that you're well aware of the kind of issues people face. I'll be teaching students how to deal with the more bizarre challenges that might be thrown their way."

Electroclash shrugged her bare shoulder. "Dunno, I think the brats seem to do okay just on their instincts."

Which was not to say a class wouldn't help them. She just didn't feel like saying that out loud.

"If that's true, then they should make it through the workshop intact," Batman said. "But they can do better."
