Flight- Monday- 3rd period
The class met in the Danger Shop one last time, where it was set up to look like a jungle. Because. Jaina herself was standing next to an X-wing. A StealthX, specifically, because she didn't think anyone from her galaxy had as much experience with this model than anyone else. She at least had to try and level the playing field.
"First off, I'd apologize for missing last week's class, but something tells me no one's that torn up about it," Jaina began. "It's been great teaching you this semester, and hopefully I'll see some of you next time.
"So. Your final. You should remember the X-wing," she said. "There's one in here for each of you, and none of them are working right. You need to get it working, and then you need to successfully lift off and fly out of here. That's all you've got to do."

Listen to the lecture
Final!
Spoiler: If you remember to ask the droid to run a diagnostic, it'll find a cracked nacelle and you can have them fix it. For you GFFA types who might get this right away, your droids are going to be extra unhelpful.
How'd you do?
Re: Final!
Cade berated it as he crawled around the ship looking for the problem. "In my karking world, I'd just steal another one," he muttered, ignoring how he was alone in the jungle.
The droid stopped its electronic freak-out enough to remind him of it.
Cade eventually found the problem and fixed it, but it had taken much longer than he'd liked. He promised to leave the droid behind to get eaten, so he did just that as he took off.
Cade was a class act.
Re: Final!
At least until the exhaust vent cover fell on her foot and she ended up kicking the droid while cursing loudly in Gujarati.
Well, she assumed it was cursing; whatever it was, Manisha's brother had almost had his ear bent off his head for saying it. Maybe it doubled as machine code, too, though, since either that or the kicking finally got the droid to spit out a repair report.
Re: Final!
Once the droid had told him where to look, it wasn't too hard to fix the cracked nacelle and prepare for take-off. Which Victor was more than ready to do; the jungle wasn't exactly his scene.

"Will you believe me if I say I pretty much just did this final?"
It could have been a joke, but he looked too tired and preoccupied to really put the effort into it.
Re: Talk to Jaina
Not that she'd been worried or anything.

Look, he could even admit it now.

He bit his lip. "You were right, you know. You and the other Tahiri. I really should have done that before."
Yay, one more thing he could guilt about.
