Flight- Monday- 3rd period

The class met in the Danger Shop one last time, where it was set up to look like a jungle. Because. Jaina herself was standing next to an X-wing. A StealthX, specifically, because she didn't think anyone from her galaxy had as much experience with this model than anyone else. She at least had to try and level the playing field.

"First off, I'd apologize for missing last week's class, but something tells me no one's that torn up about it," Jaina began. "It's been great teaching you this semester, and hopefully I'll see some of you next time.

"So. Your final. You should remember the X-wing," she said. "There's one in here for each of you, and none of them are working right. You need to get it working, and then you need to successfully lift off and fly out of here. That's all you've got to do."

"Do you know something," asked Anakin, eyeing her suspiciously (or as suspiciously as he could while trying not to die of mortification), "or is this you getting back at me for being weird about Jag?"

The only thing that could make it worse was if she was taking pictures.

"Only because you think that's what I meant."

"I thought that's what it meant because you got all fidgety," Jaina countered.

Anakin shook his head. Probably more than was strictly necessary.

"I just never thought of her that way before. That's all."

Okay, maybe now she was getting him back for the Jag thing.

"Now's hardly the time for that anyway, is it?"

"Days who?" Jaina asked, feeling slightly weird about it when she knew how things ended up.

Said Anakin, who was mostly so embarrassed about this now that he kind of wanted to just flail all over the place.

"It just isn't."

Which was the most intelligent argument ever.

"Good," Anakin mumbled. Affectionately. "I don't need two of you hassling me at the same time. At least you're not giving me grief about getting in trouble again."

"Yeah, I won't do that here," she said, because he really didn't need to hear it on top of what he was already blaming himself for.
