Detention!- Danger Shop- Saturday morning

When the students arrived at detention, they'd find the Danger Shop looking a lot like an auditorium today. One might say exactly like an auditorium, actually. They'd find Jaye backstage, where once everyone arrived she said, "So today you're going to be putting on a little bit of a show. Kind of an improvisational play, really. You'll find out the plot- well, 'plot'- as you go along, there's no script, you come up who your character is going to be, and once you make it to the end of the play, you're done and can go home."

She started to leave the backstage area, then turned back. "Oh, right, and you might have an audience. So... no pressure or anything."

When you walk out onstage you will see that your backdrop is... Your Town, USA! ~~Complete with moddable props!~~ You can start as many threads as you want here to establish your characters, but remember that the audience sees everything.

Break a leg!

Oh, and if you break character at all, a tomato will fly at you out of nowhere. The Danger Shop knows.

Sam's shopkeeper character looked a whoooooooole lot like a cowboy.

Sounded like one, too, in a terrible webshow accent kind of way.

"Well, lookeeeeeee here," she said, as she pretended to sweep up the front stoop of her shop. "Looks like it's just 'bout time to order me up some more fudgeballs."

Juliet had managed to find a decent pink tweed Chanel suit (http://www.burningsettlerscabin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Chanel-Suit-2.jpg), complete with matching hat and handbag. The vintage soothed her.

"So," she said woodenly. "Here we are in a charming small town."

"Also," Topher contributed, prodding a floorboard with his foot, "the small town is rickety."

Kenzi had one of the pink wigs on, a large but empty suitcase, and a suit. A suit of lime. It was awesome.

"Oh, if only I could go home already. To... uh. Tallahassee." That was just fun to say. "But no. I have to sell more .." Ha! "Personal massage objects, from 'Dite's Decadent Delights, open weekdays on Fandom Island!"

Rilla was wearing what she thought a criminal would: pants, ugly shoes, a black shirt and a mask over her eyes.

...she wasn't the most inconspicuous person on the lam ever.

"We mutht continue to Canada!" she lisped. "For...no reathon!"

"Now see here, missy," Sam said. "We don't truck with no Canadia here in these parts."

Rilla blinked, which interfered with her mask and reminded her that she was in character. Good thing too, or else she would have launched into a defense of Canada.

"Why not?" Rilla asked instead.

"'Cause'n their all Canadi-ese!"

Well, of course.

"Riiight," Rilla said finally. "Do you know how long it will take to fix the buth?"

Stupid lisp...

Kenzi stared at Rilla, and managed just barely not to giggle at the lisp.

Seriously. The Killer. It was adorable.

"What are you running from, Badly Dressed Girl in a Mask?"

"I'm not running!" Rilla said. "I'm stuck here becauthe the buth stopped."

Rilla's ad-libbing skills needed work.

Kenzi managed not to laugh by turning it into a cough and then asked, "What's in Canada? Somebody you owe money? Your boyfriend? Your long-lost mother?"

Oh noes, someone found the bus driver dead offstage! Well, it had to be one of you five people who killed him, since you're the only ones in the play.

Also when you say the word "dead" popcorn rains down on you.

Well, if Rilla was the killer, then what the hell, Kenzi was going to find a body.

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Which also expressed her feelings about this nicely.

"A dead. BODY!"
